II had to caulk the house myself as the builders left several gaps in soffits and siding. I used 10 tubes of caulk to finish the house filling some gaps up to 1”. The house has a 3” drop from the exterior wall to the middle of the house. The basement has a dip in the middle as well as the floor supports are 2 inches shorter in the middle of the basement. If you pour water in the kitchen or basement, it runs to the middle of the house. There was no flashing put on the roof between the home and the garage. When the first hard rain came from the west (after the one year home warranty expired) they wanted to charge me for repairs. After a few threats, they came by and "fixed" the area. No shingles or siding where removed. I cannot tell what they did other than roofing caulk at the seam. They only put a thin layer of black dirt over the packed clay. In some spots, it was less than ¾” thick. After three years, I am still getting sink holes around the foundation. One of the contractors stole my Wagner Painter. It was there when I left at 9am and gone when returned at 11am. His painter did not paint the interior walls with paint, instead applying a primer mixed with paint. Areas that I have not painted are still tacky and will peel even after 3 years. Sewer backed up first night in house. Rotor Rooter man said that there are 2 90 degree bends in the sewer pipe (not code) and I will always have problems with it. Clog was rags and concrete from when basement was poured. I had to replace my sewage soaked carpet at bottom of my steps myself. The driveway has been a nightmare. The top layer of concrete is scaling off. Almost 50% of my driveway is pitted with 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep holes and patches. He claims it is from using deicer (which was not used) and I noticed that most of my neighbors have the same problem. The countertop is not put on correctly and my fridge almost does not fit in the slot. The appliance guys had to remove the base molding to get enough room and it still rubs on both sides. I was charged for upgraded carpet and pad. It is the exact same as my neighbors who did not request or pay for an upgrade. I have a two handed front door. You have to pull on the handle to look/unlock it. The millwork man said that it is adjusted as loose as it can be. I asked for Anderson windows but he said Crestline was even better. The millwork place said my windows leak and will not latch because the window frames are not square as well as the series of windows he used where the bottom of the Crestline line and will leak air because there are no adjustments on the window other than hacking away with a utility knife. The service panel is only 100 amps. That is not big enough to run the air conditioner, the stove, and the dryer at the same time. During construction of the house next to mine, they ran into my garage with the back hoe. After 3 weeks of asking about it, they tacked the wall back on and cobbled the siding back on.
Description of Work: Build a house of his design with a few modifications at my request.

Bought a house from Paul Fick less than a year ago. If anything was broken within the first year it was to be fixed. My front stairs have broken and while it just rained, there was water coming in around the windows. I wouldn't think that a house less than a year old would leak water.
