Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Sioux Falls

Do not make the mistake that I did by not paying attention to the charge versus the actual work done by Mr. Rooter (associated with Airseve). To replace two basic water line valves (Cost even inflated $50) and a bathtub drain pipe (which I supplied!) I was charged over $500 for a job that took the individual only 50 minutes to complete. You do the math on the labor! I have to own my own stupidity, but even when I called their office to complain, they said they would look into it. No callback or response from them. Just got my credit card bill, and of course, they charged the full amount. Was I stupid for agreeing to the work, Yes. But when labor is being applied at $400/hr…. what crosses your mind about the integrity of the business? PLEASE don't make the mistake I made! Find someone else.

They are now Jone's plumbing, Had a clogged drain in a mop closet sink at our business. Arrived early, worked fast, very professional. Will definitely be using again.

They are becoming Jones Plumbing and Drain Service. They did a really good job. They were really professional and I like that they have this camera so that when they snake your drain, the camera goes down in there with it. So you can see, I have roots in my drain, I could see the roots and see that they were getting cleaned out. I could see the clog and see that it was getting cleaned out to. I got to see what all of my pipes look like, it was really great.

After determining that our water heater needed to be replaced, they told us how much it would cost. I wondered if the price was a little high, but It's been a number of years since we've had a water heater replaced, and I hadn't done any comparison shopping, so it was probably in the ballpark for the going rate for these units. We decided to go ahead. They came back the following day, which was a Saturday, and installed the water heater. It seemed like it was taking a long time when one of them came upstairs and said they couldn't get it to work yet because of a problem with the electronic controls. Since it was a Saturday, the manufacturers office that would have been able to help them was closed. They said they would come back first thing Monday morning and get it working, which they did. When it was all said and done, they had probably worked three hours longer than usual on the job. I wondered if there would be an extra charge for that time. There wasn't. Aside from the installation glitch, we were very happy with the service we got from Mr. Rooter, and will definitely use them again.

Our basement drain was plugged and our basement was flooded, so we called Mr. Rooter. They scoped the drain, and determined there were some tree roots clogging the drain. Up to this point, things were fine. Then the work began. They recommended using pressurized water to blast the pipes clean. This procedure, while expensive, was supposed to be guaranteed for a year. During the course of this, the equipment malfunctioned, and shot pressurized water all over our kitchen. Water we ended up cleaning up, after the cursory wipe down by Mr. Rooter. Finally 48 hours later, the job is done. And the basement floods again the next day. They come out, do some more work, and it's done. But I was not happy with them leaving, getting water on everything, etc.

Brett actually called 3 hours before my appointment and offered to do the work early. He was very professional and knowledgeable and I would use them again.

The overall quality of the work was fantastic. The tech throughly examined the drain and the area around it then snaked the drain removing all the debris from the line. There had been tree roots growing through the pipe as we live in an older home. He then stuck a camera down the drain and showed me all the roots and the breaks in the pipe where they were growing through. He obviously recommended getting the pipe replaced in the future but was very helpful in describing everything he was doing and why he was doing it.

My tenant, who resides in that apartment advised me that I shouldn't have to pay him for damage he did to a water line that had to be replaced. His charges for this was not disclosed in his bill. Instead, he inflated other "work" performed. He charged me $417.11 to remove drywall in the apartment below the subject apartment, to gain access to the drain line. The removed drywall was a small corner, covering the drain line. It was 6" X 6" X 8'. A job that would at most take 10 or 15 minutes. He charged $136.55 to remove the toilet in order to gain access to the above mentioned area. To remove a toilet with a flexible water inlet line, one only has to remove two nuts and set the toilet aside; a 10 minute job. I've rented apartments for 40 years and this is the worst case of over-charging for any services I've ever encountered. If one "Googles" Mr. Rooter, you will find numerous claims of fraud and over-charging.

We had water back up caused from tree roots growing through our main line. They knew as soon as they pulled up what the problem was and were able to get it cleaned out that day. By that afternoon every thing was working fine. There haven’t been any problems since. It is also nice to know that there is a guarantee that comes with it to help in providing a little piece of mind. They were quick and clean and also recommended a way to help in preventing the problem in the future that will save a lot of money in the long run.

Our laundry room floor drain wasn't draining properly. Andy quickly cleaned the drain but realized we had tree roots in our main line. He quickly and cheerfully took up our basement toilet (the only way to our main sewer) to clean out the line. He carefully covered my stairs with cloth beforehand to protect them. Andy took extreme pride in his work. He was thorough and didn't stop until he was completely satisfied with the work he had done. Consequently so were we.
