I called Lambert Heating and Air Conditioning for service because of what appeared to be a condensation leak from the duct work in my heating/air conditioning unit. After inspecting the unit, the repairman could not find anything wrong. His report stated that the system was in and quot;good working orderand quot;. However, the leak continued. The same repairman returned, sealed a seam in the duct work and installed a and quot;condensate overflow switch.and quot; The leak continued. A different repairman from Lambert Heating and Air Conditioning returned a third time to my home and, after additional and quot;testingand quot;, concluded that air was being forced through the system too fast. He turned the blower down and left. When I returned home that evening, the entire system was non-functional. Although I contacted Lambert Heating and Air Conditioning several times over the next few days, they refused to return my calls. I was forced to contact another company. The representative for the second company determined that the unit was not functioning because the coil was damaged, was leaking coolant, and needed to be replaced. I found this surprising, since Lambert had judged the entire system to be in and quot;good working orderand quot;. I can only conclude that during the final visit by Lambert Heating and Air Conditioning, they somehow damaged the coil, causing it to leak, and that is why they refused to return my calls. I was forced to pay nearly $1000 to replace the air conditioning coil, and I still do not know what caused the original leak.
