CR&J Construction

Called in July 2014 for a roof and gutter replacement. They were very professional and gave a great bid, however, there was a low slope section of roof on the house and he said they didn't do that and recommended another contractor for that work. Called the other contractor and they said they didn't do that either. Called CR & J back to see if they had another recommendation for that section and they never called me back. Found another provider to do the low slope section and that provider also re-roofed the house while they were out there. Decided to give CR & J another shot based on Angie's list reviews and called to setup a time to bid out replacing the gutters. They said they would be out the next day and never showed. Tired to call them to follow up and there was no answer and they never replied to the message that was left.

Easy to do business with but could have been faster in responding to phone calls.

After a month went by, I hadn't heard anything from him so I started calling and leaving messages on his cell phone. I continued to call at least 3 or 4 times a week for 2 months and never heard anything! I stopped by his house a few times, no one answers. I happened to come across his sister on facebook recommending them to a friend of mine, I asked her to contact him for me but she was no help. She gave me their brother's cell number who sometimes works with Corey, but he wouldn't answer either. I tried calling from different numbers and blocked numbers, still no response. After 3 months, I found a different contractor who actually answers his phone and was $4,000 cheaper. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!

Arrived promptly did and excellent job and cleaned everything up and left timely.

Contracted with them in November to do roofing and windows. Heard nothing from them for about a month and I finally called and they said it was to cold to do work but that we were still on their schedule. I tried off and on in January and February but they did not return my calls. Finally spoke with them on March 11th, they were on vacation. Not once did they ever call me to give an update. I cancelled the work with them and called another contractor who is doing the roof work now. I would NOT recommend this contractor.

Excellent service and outcome. I would use this contractor again. Pleased with the results.

They're really good. They were excellent. They weren't the lowest bid, they were in the middle, but they did excellent clean-up and were done within the day. They're very honest people and they got the work done. I'm really satisfied with their work as they did what they said and were very quick and efficient.

I had moved into a 1990 built home in November 2010. The roof shingles looked like they were needing replacement. My insurance company advised it be done due to the Certain Teed lawsuit going on. I found out later that the other owner had already gotten the rebate, but didn't replace the shingles. In any event, I noticed CR and J's truck in the neighborhood doing another roof. I looked at the work being done there, and liked what I saw and called. I got a quote for 2 types of new shingles, as well as recommendations to improve the ventilation in my attic. I chose the best shingles he had which also qualifies for a homeowners insurance deduction due to their strength and durability. They did a great job, and it looks great. They removed the old metal roof vents in favor of the ridgeline vents on the peaks of the roof. Looks very nice. I would and have recommended them and will continue to do so.

They had the best proposal as far as being broken down and professional looking. He had samples of the materials that he used. He was very knowledgeable about the material and why we should use that. We don't know about his work or his work ethic.

the roofing went well. OSHA kind of messed us up, by stopping the work prior to a rain storm.. thus the roof was not sealed down over nite.. got some water damage inside but the insurance company covered that just fine..

Shingles were curling. Had a coupon for CRand J. Called them for a quote and they were the lowest out of three. 30 square were to be removed and replaced. They removed the Certainteed shingles (of which were under a class action suit, which they informed me of) and replaced them with IKO with ice and water sheild. Excellent job done with the utmost professionalism and resonable price. I would definitely use them again.
