Superior Siding

I have previously done business with Superior and was satisfied with their work so I signed up for their gutter cleaning service. Unfortunately this was not a positive experience and ended with a somewhat threatening call from the owner. Two guys showed up to clean the gutters and were here for less than 15 minutes. After they left I quickly inspected a section of the gutters and found that the downspouts were not cleaned at all and there was still dirt and leaves in the gutter. I took some photos and contacted Superior to dispute the invoice as the work was not completed correctly. The person I spoke with saw my pictures, agreed the work was substandard and offered to send their employees back out. I didn't want them back on my roof, potentially upset about being called out for sub par work so I refused and said I didn't want to pay the invoice. The office employee said they would have someone call me to discuss further. After three weeks with no response I called again and was told I would receive a call. Two weeks later the owner called me saying he has pictures showing the work was completed correctly and that they do not clean downspouts. He said he wasn't going to discuss the issue any further and if I refused to pay the invoice he would send it to collections. With no recourse outside of litigation, which would be costly and unjustified over a $100 invoice, I reluctantly paid it. I have video footage from my security cameras to prove my claims as well as a couple of pictures following the job. I want others to be aware of my terrible experience and to be careful if you choose to do business with this company. After speaking with others who have done business with this company and reading other's reviews, intimidation seems to be a common tactic along with substandard work. I will no longer be doing business with Superior and caution others to do so at your own risk.

I am writing this review in hopes that no one else will be a victim of this company. In June of 2022 Belle Fourche had a damaging hailstorm. Contractors from all over were going door-to-door, Superior Siding being one of them. My daughter's father was employed by them and after talking to him decided to go with Superior Siding. When Eric, from Superior Siding came to my door, he asked to see my estimate from my insurance company. I hadn't even received it from them yet so Eric called my insurance company and had them email it to him. They also knew I didn't have the money for my deductible so Eric suggested I use my fence repair money for the deductible. After explaining to Eric I was widowed mom with 4 kids and had never dealt with anything like this before he assured me I would be well taken care of. My roof was the 1st repair in August they completed. Upon completion, my boyfriend and I did a walk around the premises. On one side of my house in my husband's memorial garden on my 5 year old son's bench was a 1/2 eaten apple, a lighter and a round plastic container. Upon opening the container inside was a large amount of marijuana. We immediately walked across the street to my parents to tell them who were also considering hiring Superior. The next morning I called my daughter's dad and filled him in and he instructed me to call Chad Roth, the owner. Conversations with Chad included him saying it was probably our daughter's weed. Then he went on to say it was no big deal and no different than my neighbor leaving a beer can in my yard and suggested it was probably one of my neighbors weed. I was shocked at his responses. The next morning, my mom called and told me to go over and look at my roof. There was extreme striping. I then called Chad again to discuss the striping and to discuss my concern how he handled my complaints the day before and to ask why I never received a building permit. He then gave me an unsincere apology cussing and yelling at me. He then asked what I wanted from him. I said "to be released from my contract" and he said fine. I received an email of a blank final contract from them. I paid them what insurance had paid me as I never received an itemized bill from Superior. 5 months later I received a letter from their attorney threatening to sue me. I called my insurance company immediately and was informed that they had been trying several times for several months to reach Superior for an itemized list as it was way higher than my insurance estimate and my surrounding neighbors. I got my final check from insurance and gave them the entire thing in hopes to settle this without court .That still wasn't enough to cover what they were wanting so once again I received an email threatening court. Guess I'll be going to court. This has been the most awful, stressful situation I've ever encountered.

I worked for Superior Siding Inc. for approximately (2) years. After a hail-storm in 2022, in Belle Fourche SD, we began to canvass, as the town was decimated by large hail & damaging winds. We went to my child's mother's residence & after my assurances & recommendation, she had consented to using Superior Siding to install a new roof. During the installation, one of the crew members had left a considerable amount of marijuana in a container laying on her 5 year old child's bench, next to the garage/home. She had found the marijuana & a partially eaten apple while doing an inspection. The marijuana she found was reported to both me & Chad Roth. My child's mother called Chad's cell phone & was asked by Chad, "Are you sure it's not your daughters weed?" Chad then went on to tell her that someone leaving marijuana, brought from another state, left on her child's bench, "isn't that big of a deal" & that its no different than if her "neighbor were to leave a beer can in her yard."

Costumer service was awesome. The crew manager was so pleasant and explained things well! They were everything I wanted. They did a great job!

We had siding and gutters done. Jacob did an excellent job on the gutters. I had two changes that needed to be looked at and he graciously did. I would hire them again

The house looks new again. The work done by Shaun, Mason and Sheldon was professional. They did finishing touches that were unexpected but just made the house look fabulous. I would not hesitate to use again.

Replaced shingles on both sides of a townhome.. Job looked good until wind hit the roof. Company had to return 3 times for repairs. Garage door was also hail damaged but we were lied to about replacement. We had the door replaced ourself and had it replaced at a lower cost. Work was very unsatisfactory as a lot of homes in our area had shingles replaced but we were the only home that had problems. Would not recommend Superior for any type of work..

Made the appointment two weeks ago, the day of the appointment they tell me that they can't fix it because they didn't install it. Would have been nice to know that two weeks ago.

I used this company and now my house has a lower resale value, and I strongly believe they put profit before customer service!

The outbuilding install was very good the house install had a few corners that leaked and one of the tip-out had an elbow installed incorrectly.

Apparently they don't really want smaller jobs .... eg.- installation of less than five windows. The cost quoted for replacing one large sliding window was fair (not necessarily a bargain), but they then added a $300 "small job" surcharge which brought the total cost to $2-300 more than two other quotes we got.

Our experience with Superior Siding was very pleasant from the beginning planning phase through the project completion. Superior Siding personnel were always courteous, professional, respectful of our property, and responsive. The end result is stunning, beyond our expectations!

Contacted Superior Siding after the vinyl siding, window wraps, and seamless gutters on our property were damaged from hail. The hail damaged all of the siding on the west side of our property with some small areas of damage on the north and east sides also. A representative from Superior came to our property and provided an estimate of $42,000 for replacing all of the siding, wraps and gutters because he stated that they could not match the color of our existing siding due to fading. The insurance company refused to replace all of the siding and would only replace the west side and the damaged areas on the other sides which they estimated at approximately $10,000. Requested an estimate from Superior for replacing what the insurance company identified as damaged then waited for over a month before the rep from Superior again responded with an estimate for replacing all of the siding as this was in his professional opinion the only way to go. Again requested that he provide an estimate for replacing all of the west side and the other damaged areas following which we waited for over a month without any further response from Superior. At that point we decided to contact another siding contractor, Collins Siding, and were provided with an estimate of approximately $12,200 to repair all the damage which the insurance company has agreed to cover. Superior Siding was only interested in doing the work if they could get us to spend approximately four times what the insurance company would cover. Superior's estimate of $42,000 was also about 33% higher than Collin's estimated it would cost us to replace all of the vinyl siding with steel siding. Collins siding has ordered the vinyl siding to match ours (grey and white) and we will follow up with a review of how they do after they have completed the repairs.

I have nothing bad to say about them. They were very good. We were very pleased with their job. Their price is a bit expensive but they do a quality work.

We were happy with them. The owner of the company wrongly measured and when the windows came in, he put everything back together and said that he would take care of it; and he did. They were very easy to work with. They kept me up to date as the windows were ordered; he let us know when they were in, and when he could come in. I was concerned that I would see signs that the window had been taken out, put back in, and he had to do some repair work, but it was perfect. Their price came in under what the insurance adjustor had, so that was obviously a plus.

I was told the price was a good deal. Their work was very, very good. The finished product was real nice. The quality was very good. On the house they kind of bent over backwards and did everything, on the garage they kind of ran low on materials at the end and there were one or two things we didn't get exactly how we wanted it, but it was still well done. They were very professional. When they showed up, they were all tatoos, ponytails and piercings, but they were the most polite and professional people you would ever want to meet. I didn't hear them swear one time. That's pretty good when you are doing construction! These guys had a pretty strict company policy. This is how you do it, how you treat your customers and things like that and they were very good about sticking to it. They were wonderful guys to work with. I would use them in again in the future.
