Description of Work: This is a long story, we are going on 3 years. I will try to summarize - We hired Midwest Window Brokers in July of 2012 to install a metal roof on our small house. The team that came out was a comedy-of-errors from the get-go. They would arrive late or not at all, often only 1 guy would show up. Twice they fell through the roof into our living room damaging interior walls and ceilings. They would often leave with the roof exposed and not return for several days. We would climb up there and try to cover the roof with the tarps they left lying in our yard with all the other junk and debris. We would see that they just threw the old shingles and crap down between the joists, we would see shoddy work. It was one disaster after another. The night the foreman said he was done and demanded final payment I told him I was not satisfied and didn't want to pay until I talked to our salesman, the man said he would not leave my house until I gave him a check. The owner of Midwest promised to work with us and would come out from time to time with different people and look at things and promise to do things, but nothing would ever get completely resolved. I finally had to file a small claims for poor workmanship etc... The owner of Midwest again promised to continue to work with us and came out and did repairs that met the agreement of the claim just days before we were to go to court. I thought everything was repaired and called off the small claims. To this day, our roof leaks terrible - we have damage to almost every room in our house. We keep calling Midwest - they don't answer our calls directly, but they do eventually call us back - promising to come out within the next week, but we don't ever see them or hear from them again. We keep calling them and we see them less and less and hear from the less and less. We've worked so h****** our house and property. The expensive metal roof was our last big investment to protect it all from wind, rain, fire...now it's all getting ruined. We refinanced both of our vehicles to pay for it. I wouldn't wish this nightmare on my worst enemy. The owner of Midwest is a very nice guy - very calm, caring, and sincere on the phone and in person - it's hard to be angry with him. We are nice people and would never be mean. He just doesn't deliver any of what he says. We feel taken advantage of. Anyone know of a lawyer that works these kinds of cases?

replacement windows

This project went as described in our initial discussion. We first saw the windows at a Home Show in Rapid City last winter. Midwest Window Brokers were demonstrating the "H Window." These are revolutionary windows that are rotatable, and allow for complete cleaning from the inside of the house. Due to the severe winters that we sometimes have in South Dakota, we were interested in triple paned windows for additional energy efficiency. They are solid oak cased. The windows have exceeded our expectations and are a great addition to our home. The front of our home faces south, and the afternoon sun shines directly on 8 windows. This causes extreme heat in the living area of our home in the summer. Midwest Windows also installed 4 trapezoid window panes to our existing double paned windows so that all the windows are now triple paned and fully energy efficient. They also installed a new front door and a new patio door. The project was completed as planned and in the time frame that was given. There were no surprises in the actual cost of the project, and all windows and doors were exactly as selected. This company did everything that they said they would and in a very timely and professional manner. I would not hesitate to refer my closest friends and relatives to Midwest Window Broker. We are completely satisfied with the product and the installation process. As stated, the windows are somewhat expensive (the reason we are doing the complete replacement in two stages) but the quality cannot be beat.
Description of Work: We purchased 7 "H Windows" and two doors and 4 single paned trapezoid windows. The windows were replacements and this included removal of old windows, inserting new windows, and the removal of a patio door and a front entrance door and the installation of the new doors.
