Great job! It was done quickly and looked exactly as I expected. I had a good idea in my head of what I wanted and David delivered. He made suggestions along the way that improved on my concept.

Great estimate, but just a bit too much money for us to afford. They were very professional and gave a great estimate.

He called back within a few days and said that after looking at the engineering involved, what I ultimately wanted was outside of the scope of his abilities and expertise. I appreciated his candor, as well as his courtesy and professionalism. I ultimately had to go with a commercial-scale concrete construction company. I have another, smaller project to do Spring of '14 that I hope to use this company, and the owner's eye for detail, on.

David knew what had to be done, but we were a bit nervous as we couldn't visualize the end result. He provided drawings for us, but we still had a difficult time visualizing the end result. Had we just relaxed and trusted in his ability, it would have been without worries.||The project was delayed due to our indecision and the weather. Once we decided what we wanted (it changed several times), the weather delayed his projects including ours. This pushed us to the fall. We have been without landscaping for 21 years, so the delay was not difficult.||We will be using Hollywood Hardscapes to do some planting in the Spring. David will also be doing some additional landscaping for us, based on what he did with a rock garden.||The quality of the work seems to be great! We are very pleased with the new look of the front of our home. It will be fantastic once there are plants.

We had several estimates but Hollywood Hardscapes was the only one that shared our vision of what we thought would look good. The work was delayed because of the extra rain we had during the spring but our turn came in July 2013. Once work started everything went smoothly. We are very pleased with the results.

I first met David Young in late May of this year. He was the fourth landscaping contractor that I had contacted, and the only one that actually followed through with a site visit and a bid. David explained that due to the extremely rainy spring, he would not commit to a start date of earlier than the second week in August. On Monday of the second week in August, David and his crew showed up, worked diligently for about three days, and completed their work as bid. They also included some extra preventive work on the paver patio, to keep the pavers from moving and heaving after ground freeze. The work was performed professionally, David was always pleasant and responsive, and the bill was exactly what he had bid! I plan on using Hollywood Hardscapes again in the future, and would highly recommend David and his company for all of your landscape needs!

He just couldn’t get out and get the fence done this fall. He was very upfront with that. It was a good experience. He was one of the higher quotes and I think he was about $3,800 for a fence. He was great to talk to. I really, really like to work with him. It is just that it would take him a long time to come out and do the fence because he was real busy. He was a little bit higher than some of other contractors that had come out to bid. If it hadn’t been such a long time to come out and do it, I probably would have picked him anyhow. He was really good about giving me a callback on time. He was good about following up. He showed up when he said he would show up. He had to reschedule an appointment and he was very apologetic about it. He called the day before; he gave me plenty of time and plenty of options to reschedule it. I thought that he was very professional. He really sounded like he knew what he was talking about and asking me the right questions because I have never put up a fence before.

David and his crew did an outstanding job. The fence is great. He used top quality materials that will last for years. He was very pleasant and professional. Completed the project in a very timely manner. My wife and I were impressed with the cleanup - nothing to pick up after they left. One of the adjacent landowners had concerns about his sprinkler heads and wanted to make sure they did not get damaged. David made sure to talk to them throughout the project and make sure their concerns were addressed. I really appreciated that. David is at the top of my referal list for any of my friends needing his type of services. You can't go wrong with David.

Estimate was very professional and detailed. Contact was very timely and friendly.

It went very well. The team took care to minimize the impact to the rest of the yard. They also went out of their way to prep the wet cement for the kids write their initials and imprint their hands. The project turned out great. The kids love it and we get lots of compliments.

They are a family owned company and I was very impressed with the individual that owns the company. He was very polite and gave us some references. I didn't know where some of the places were and he gave me some information by e-mail as to how to find those. All the people I talked to were very happy with the work that he had done. He was supposed to do a driveway and some concrete pads, but he wasn't going to put any rebar in. He said that the main process is how you set up underneath, but I didn't feel comfortable with that. Therefore, we chose another company that does put rebar in. Although it's not required, I just felt a little more comfortable with the rebar being put in.

Hollywood Hardscapes' pricing is fair. The guy who gave me the quote, who is also the owner of the company was very punctual and a very pleasant individual to work with. I like him and I thought I could trust him.

Everything turned out better than I anticipated.

They were very accomidating on getting to my house to look at the work to be done to create an estimate. They were able to give me an estimate within a few days, and schedule the work at a time that worked out great for me. They got the job done early and left the work area exactly as I wanted it. I would recommend them to anyone needing any type of this work done.

My wife and I bought a new construction home in 2010 after moving to South Dakota from Montana. We have 2 dogs and with no yard work completed, we realized immediately that this was an urgent matter. I met David Young through a coworker and was told that he was starting a new business but that he had ample experience. Within days he had a yard plan drawn up complete with colorful drawings with plant and tree locations, concrete dimensions for a driveway extension and stained backyard patio. We also wanted a firepit with pavers and river rock around everything. He made very good suggestions that made sense for the overall scheme. After agreeing on a plan, I asked him if he could suggest a good fence contractor and he informed me that he was very familiar with fence installation and had plenty of experience. I had three other contractors look at the project, none of them were able to do all the work without sub-contracting parts of the job. This seemed to increase the price and extend the estimated completion date. I had an estimated dollar amount in my head and David Young was easily in that ballpark. Due to the urgency of getting this completed, we gave the job to Hollywood landscaping before receiving two of the bids. When we finally received the other bids(1 week later), only one was slightly less and the others were quit a bit higher. The one that was slightly less could not commit to a start date which solidified my decision. The project was completed ahead of schedule and at no time was a laborer working without Mr. Young's supervision. I could not have been more pleased with the outcome of the entire project. My nieghbors have commented positively on what they call our "Oasis" in the middle of a construction area as new homes are continuing to be built. Every aspect of this project was completed in a professional manner and after a year we have absolutely NO complaints. We are considering building a home in the hills next year and I will be sure to get on Hollywood landscaping's schedule well in advance!!

David Young was pleasant from the get-go. He was timely, professional, and came in under the other bids that we received for the job. As opposed to the other bids that we received, David actually came prepared. He had ideas for the layout, and even the type of sod, plants, and trees. It was always refreshing to come home and see him diligently working, and the job progressing. I would definitely recommend Hollywood Landscapes, and will definitely use them again if we need any additional work done.
