Lee Miller, the owner of Black Hills Seamless Rain Gutters, came out to my house to estimate costs for removal of old gutters and replacement with new ones in late January 2015. His estimate was $3152.25. Lee is a personable fellow and offered solid recommendations for some minor changes in our gutterwork. After a roof extension and new deck were completed for us by Holdaway Construction in August, Lee and his colleagues took less than 2 days to remove the old gutters, haul them away, and replace them with new gutterwork. He has a slick operation employing a sizable trailer containing a machine that extrudes the gutters to shape, from flat stock steel, in a seamless fashion. These seamless sections are attached to fitments for the corners or endpieces. Lee was dissatisfied with the color match of the corner and endpieces, so he used spray paint for a good matchup, which we appreciated. He even gave us the leftover cans of spray paint afterwards should touchup be needed. Gutterwork was attached throughout with appropriate slope(s) so as to ensure proper flow of water to downspouts. The job was finished in less than two days. It's now January of 2016 and we no longer have any dripping or leaking, and the new gutterwork has survived both rain and snow. We've not yet had a bad hailstorm since installation, but I suspect our choice of steel vice aluminum will mean that hailstorms won't be a problem. Lee's final bill was five percent less than his estimate. How often does that happen these days? He is quite an honest fellow.
