+ -1 moreI have a large roof about 60' by 40' the shingles were falling apart. I called Adams and it took a few weeks to receive an estimate. After I reviewed the offer and talked it over with another contractor we decided it was a good estimate. We called Adams roofing they said it was not a big roof and they could do it in one day. They scheduled to do it in a couple weeks. They arrived at 730am and I talked to the lead person. We again discussed some possible issues and he said they would keep an eye in the problem areas. They did not have any problems and the shingles look nice. They finished it in one day and did a good job. I would hire them again but should not need shigles for 20 years.
Description of Work: They gave me a free estimate and answers some areas I had concern about.

+ -1 moreThe two brothers have a good reputation when it comes to roofing in Pierre and I want to add to that reputation by stating that they stand behind their work, even though the problem recurred more than once. For some years we've had a leaky garage roof when there''s a heavy rain. Even after a new roof some years ago (done before Adam's Roofing was in business) the leak returned. So, when the leak worsened we called Adam's Roofing and the two brothers came out and worked on the roof. There was definitely an improvement and the cost of repair was quite reasonable so we were pleased. Unfortunately the leak returned so we again called and when they came out I told them we were going to be gone for two months and please do anything they could to alleviate the problem. They worked on the roof for over two hours and we haven't had any water in the garage since. The best part of this experience is they charged us nothing, saying they felt they should have had the leak fixed the first time. Folks, in this day and age that's good old fashioned service by a couple of young men who deserve a good reputation.

+ -1 moreI am very pleased with the work done by Adam's Roofing. You can tell they are professionals who sincerely care about the quality of their work and customer satisfaction. They provided a reasonable and timely cost estimate and arrived on site precisely when promised. They worked throughout the day and finished in roughly eight hours, including clean-up. Despite being fast, their work was exemplary, as was their attention to detail and the effort put in to cleaning up after they were done shingling. The clean-up effort tells a lot about a company. The truck they used to haul the discarded materials to the landfill was properly tarped to prevent spillage and shifting. Once they were gone it was difficult to tell they had even been there! Only one and quot;negativeand quot; comment, and it is a very small detail, indeed. I had to sweep out my garage to clean out the splinters and shards of wood that accumulated inside the garage during the re-shingling process. The shards of wood were from the plywood as they drove new nails into the shingles. Again, it was no big deal and I had the garage swept out in less than 15 minutes. It needed a good sweeping, anyway!
Description of Work: Adam's Roofing is owned and operated by Todd and Adam Bertsch of Pierre, SD. They compete with approximately six other roofing companies in the Pierre/Ft. Pierre area. In October, 2010, my brother hired Adam's Roofing to shingle his double-wide trailer and was very impressed with both the quality of their work as well as their LOW BID. Based upon his recommendation, I contacted Adam's Roofing directly without seeking other estimates. I own a home at 2006 Antelope St in Pierre, SD. The home is a split foyer with a hip roof on the home as well as one side of the attached garage. There is also a small storage shed in the backyard. The home, garage, and shed all needed to be re-shingled. I contacted Adam's Roofing and solicited an estimate. They were at my home within the week taking measurements and collecting other information as necessary. I received a detailed, albeit hand-written, estimate in the mail a few days later. Total cost was approximately $7,400 which included all supplies, four new vents, new flashing, etc. I signed and returned the agreement and was contacted by Adam soon after. He said they should be able to get to the job around mid-September (actual work was started and completed on 9/20/2011). They began work at 7:00 a.m and completed the job, including all clean-up, by 3:00 p.m. They had six members in the crew and they worked straight through with nary a break and all the while battling a 30 mph sustained wind. I am extremely pleased with the finished product. BTW, they used CertainTeed Landmark shingles that are 30-year, 110 mph certified. The color I chose was burnt sienna, and I don't regret my choice for one second. It goes perfectly with my country yellow seamless steel siding and white trim.
