We had a major remodel going that the tile was a small part of the job. The tile was easily the most stressful part of the job. We received his name via a reference and had him provide a quote. The quote was reasonable and we were told the job would take about 4 days so we scheduled him to begin. On the day he was supposed to start, nobody showed up. When he was contacted, it seems that they hadn't put our job on the calendar. Since this was going to throw the whole project off schedule, we exerted a little pressure and he had someone come over to begin ripping out the old tile the next day. The guy doing this work was very friendly and conscientious. The problems really started once Donny began showing up for install. Some days he would show up. Other days he would tell you he was coming the next day and then not show up. He wouldn't answer his phone most of the time when you would call him. I understand things happen that alter the schedule, but he would not call to say that he wasn't showing up. After all the old tile was ripped out and thrown in a pile in the garage he informed us that removing the mess wasn't part of the bid. Natural stone was being installed, so alot of extra was ordered so the best pieces would be used. He didn't sort through the pieces at all and just installed whatever the next tile was. This translated into having some fairly ugly tiles installed in the most visible places. He didn't care at all. At one point we had to threaten that if he didn't show up to finish the job we would fire him and have someone else finish the job. We should have done that. After 2 weeks of dealing with him we were so happy just to have him out. His finishing work leaves much to be desired. We now have to have someone else come in and fix the messes that he left. When this guy asked who installed the tile and we told him; he commented that he has been called in several times to fix Donny's jobs. It would have been nice to know this before we let him in. The kicker of the whole project was that after the job was finished, we got another bill for all the "extra' things that had been done. Most of these were included in the original bid and some of the things he added to this bill hadn't even been done. Save yourself alot of stress and headache and find someone else to install your flooring.

Response from Dynamic Ceramic Flooring
This review is completely wrong in every aspect, this homeowner changed the installation dates starting the first day the job was to be started due to incorrect stone being ordered and plan changes and double booking of flooring installers. Therefore changing the scheduling which only took 6 days from tear out to completion. No other charges were ever added to invoice, the job was invoiced out through a design company that I had absolutely no control over the billing aspect. When this job was completed I did a walk through with homeowners as always and they loved the job, I am getting this one bad review in 15 years of business because the client went far over their initial budget and wanted us to change our original invoice to even it out. Which once again I could not do since I wasn't doing the invoice. As far as the punctuality that is absolutely incorrect as well, we were there everyday at the same time all day doing this project, I never one time had a missed call from this client, not one, I wasn't even dealing with the client directly, it was through the design company where all my communication was taking place. On this job I actually did extra work fixing tile in other parts of their house at no extra charge. So for [Member's name removed] to write a review like this is ridiculous in every sense of the word, I have always been a punctual, professional and respectful installer to every home I enter, hence my being in business for 15 years, and being accredited by the BBB with an A+ rating. If the homeowners were sober a day or two while I was working there I would have had an idea that there was something that they weren't happy with, and I would have immediately fixed the issue. This job was four years ago and I just now found out about this review. I have never even heard until this day, 4 years later there was any type of unhappiness at the end of their installation.
