I paid my deposit of half the contracted amount on July 6th and the painting didn't begin until July 26th. The first day of the job went great. The crew consisted of five painters including the owner, Mark, for most of the day. The second day the crew was only 3 and the owner showed up for a couple hours. The 3rd and final day, July 28th only two showed up. The two ladies overlooked and failed to paint the trim of one window and put a second coat of paint around the same window. I started texting (to have proof) Mark August 5th to make him aware that they had failed to paint the trim of one window and put a second coat of paint on the wall around it. He replied one of them would be at my house "this week". No show, no call. I continued to text Mark with a couple phone calls with promises of showing up next week, then "tomorrow" up until August 22nd. Our last phone conversation/contact was August 23rd and he still has failed to contact me, let alone show up to complete the job. In addition, his estimate on paint was over by 5 gallons + money.

I terminated the project before it was actually over. Not a problem with the quality of the work. Communication was poor. They simply did not do the quantity of work that an owner had committed to. It is a company that two people own. They were not on the same page. One would say alright we would do that and it is included in the quote don't worry about it. The other would get upset that it was included and say we can't do it without an additional charge. There was a commitment that one of the owners would be onsite at all times. It did not happen for the four days they worked before I fired them. It didn't happen a single day. They made a commitment to have 6 individuals working and they only had 3 people working.
