SOUTHERN GREENSCAPES II, LLC.

From start to finish, this was a fantastic experience. We had some general ideas about what we wanted in a patio. John took those ideas, asked questions, added his own input and ideas, and helped us design exactly what we were looking for. He steered us away from expensive options that wouldn't add much value for us personally (pergola, fireplace, walking path, etc.). He walked us through all our material options (pavers, stone, brick, etc) and the costs associated with each. He provided (in short order) a quote that was detailed and professional, along with a 3D design of what he was going to build. The job started quickly and John was onsite nearly every day to ensure the work was being done as described. He was easily accessible day and night via text and responded quickly when we had questions. The job was completed ahead of schedule and the final result was exactly as designed. I would highly recommend.

I reviewed their website then submitted my contact information for them to contact me with more information. After a few days, I received an email from John stating that he had attempted to contact me a few times by phone with no response so he was emailing me. I never did receive any messages from him so I responded with my contact information again, stating that maybe he had an incorrect phone number. After 2 days of no contact from John, I called and left him a message. A few days after that, I called again and got no answer. I have yet to hear from anyone and have moved forward with getting estimates from other companies. I was very disappointed in Southern Greenscapes poor responsiveness, especially considering their positive reviews and high rating.

John was professional, delivering the exact project we envisioned and he described. His price was competitive, he began and completed when promised, and we are very happy with our new grill station. He worked with us to tweak our proposed design and his ideas made it even better. I definitely recommend Southern Greenscapes.

John and I met in July to go over my thoughts and ideas. At that meeting I really thought this was someone I could work with, however ; the follow up from him was poor. I had agreed to a payment of $500 for a 3D design. I checked a couple of his references before paying for the design and they were good. However, by early September I had not heard back from John and had to call him. We met for a second time in September with what I thought was to review through his design and pricing. That meeting ended up being another meeting to review the design make modifications before he would price the job. It is October 13 and I have yet to receive the bid from John. I decided to go with another firm and did not call John as I feel is is not my job to keep calling and requesting the bid. If this is the way he handled just the bidding then I took this as a sample of what I could expect from him on a project.

They were very good but we have not made a decision yet. They were nice and they responded. They had a good plan and a quote which was what we needed. For what we were shooting for at that time, their price was probably expensive. But now, we are learning more about how much it costs to do things. I would not discount them as a possible person that we would use. My husband was the one that met with them the most and I think that he really liked them. They had pretty good inputs and ideas. They gave us a written estimate for the work that would be done. They were pretty efficient with that. I am sure that that is what people want when they are trying to decide on spending that much money on something. We have had experienced nothing unpleasant with them. I do not think that we had to wait too long for them to come out.

Southern Greenscapes II LLC were very nice, very friendly. They responded very quickly. The only reason we chose not to use them was that we had picked a different company.

John came to our house and listened to our thoughts for over an hour. He came back a couple weeks later with a complete drawing of our plans and a quote to do the work. We had minor revisions, but pretty much hit the mark. His team was great and did a very high quality job.

John came for an estimate and design discussion. We had ideas but his were MUCH better and really encompassed what we wanted. He returned with a wonderful design and started work in about 2 weeks after we got homeowner association approval. Our stone fireplace is one of a kind with unique style, stonework and mantel. It is the focal point of our backyard room. He matched the stone on our home. The wall curves on both sides for several feet with stairs leading to the higher level. The patio is matching stone placed on top of a solid concrete base to last a long time. We had a built in grill and he added and matched the stonework to include outdoor burners. The landscaping is beautiful with sod and many plantings. John kept us totally informed as to the progress and what we could expect. We could not be more pleased and would highly recommend. This total project was a 10 out of 10.

John is a great guy to work with. He is very knowledgeable about all of the work and this was a major project that took several weeks to complete. He is professional, punctual and he handles hiring and paying all of the subcontractors, who also were very punctual, professional and nice. My husband and I had a vague idea of what we wanted our yard to look like, and John took these ideas and created a masterpiece.

They did an excellent job. It took a little longer then planned but that was due to weather. Other than that everything went as scheduled. When he came to give the estimate he was very upfront about the price. There were no unexpected costs. They were very professional and friendly.

The design was done keeping in mind what the end product would look like after growth has taken place, which I thought was very important. Honesty and integrity is extremely high. John Bell is the owner and did the design but wasn't comfortable doing the hardscape work. I definitely appreciated his honesty and he consulted with the hardscape company so the project turned out like the vision he initiated. We have already recommended him to family and friends and will continue to do so.
