DGM Plumbing

Mike answered our call quickly and remembered we used him a couple of years ago. We told him we had a leak in the kitchen but another company had opened the wall and we just needed him to fix the leak. Luckily he was available and came within an hour. He identified where the leak was and fixed it in less than an hour. Just charged us a service call fee. Both he and his wife did a great job! He also took the time to show us where the leak occurred and gave us the piece of line in case we needed it for insurance purposes. We would definitely use him again and again for our plumbing needs. Responsive, fair price, honest, great work and just all around nice! Thank you for helping us out once again!

The price was reasonable.

Very, very well. Mike looked at both and determined there was no leak and the very slight play was normal. The sink drip was due to the goose neck water accumulation caused by the flow restrictor in the faucet. The shower play was a Kohler, nylon vs. brass fitting. He removed the flow restrictor in the kitchen sink faucet; no more drips and did nothing in the shower after removing the unit and inspecting. Mike charged us $0.00 for his review. He waived the service charge as we were a return customer. What an honest, nice and well experienced professional: he is our plumber of choice.

If I knew all the details, I could have repaired it myself.

A leak near the foundation, just outside was found and repaired and he also repaired the toilet. The price was reasonable, he worked quickly and carefully and kept us appraised of what he found. He was very polite. I DEFINITELY will call him again.

Mike and Ginger are simply fantastic. We found them on Angies List and couldn't be happier with their professionalism. They exhibited the kind of integrity and service that is rare these days. Even though they stay very busy, Mike showed up every time he said he would, worked hard the whole time he was there and clearly knows what he's doing. His prices are very fair and he stands behind his work. The work was done well and neatly, and they cleaned up after themselves. A few days after our renters moved in they began having a problem with the whole house sewer system not draining properly - (the house had been vacant for over a year and it was a problem no one could have known about until the house began being used every day again). We called Mike in the evening and he answered his phone and gave us some tips to get through the night until he could get there. He came over the following morning and immediately diagnosed the issue and provided a short term fix. In the near future we are going to have to do some pretty major work to the sewer line that runs from the house to the street, where tree roots have grown into the line. We will definitely use DGM Plumbling to do the work. I would highly recommend Mike and Ginger Young and will use them for all our future plumbing needs.

Our water heater stopped producing hot water. As there had been significant scaling of the tank noticed during a previous repair (by another company) I opted for replacement. Mike rescheduled his day's work in order to perform the replacement on the same day. Mike was extremely professional, friendly, and honest. We have a very tight fit for the old water heater, and the new was a couple of inches wider. Mike pointed out a small gouge in the door frame (easily repaired with putty, and paint). Mike also threw in a new valve as the cutoff valve we had was stuck. On top of it all he gave us a $25.00 deduction from the quoted price due to the small gouge. Mike cleaned up after himself, and left us with hot water, and the house the way he found it! I cannot recommend Mike any more to anyone needing plumbing work done. I know that when I need a plumber it will be Mike.

Mike and Ginger Young arrived as advised and proceeded to the work immediately. Mike quickly found the issue and resolved with the proper parts / kit. They explained the failure after testing and offered the correct solution. Both were most personable and professional.

Mike arrived promptly at 8am and was finished in about 45 minutes. All services performed to complete satisfaction. I have used Mike 3 times this year and am completely satisfied with work. Besides being prompt courteous, professional and trust worthy he stands behind his work. DGM are my plumbers of choice. He is a good plumber!

Things went okay with the work. It kicked out about one month later. He came back but did not hit the reset button to reset it when he returned. An electrician did it.

They came promptly and replaced a small hot water heater and replace a broken valve. Would use again!

It went very well. They were punctual, quiet, patient and considerate. One leaky valve was hard to fix and continued to have a tiny leak. Mike and Ginger returned to the house without charge to replace the valve with one of a different design which has solved the issue.

Very professional. Seems very honest. Very happy with their work. I would like to update this review by saying that these people did some previous work for me . Last November they replaced pipes in the bathroom we were redoing and put in a new vanity. They were very helpful and I could not recommend them any higher. I also told a friend about them and They did some work for him.. He also was very pleased. I will definitely Use them In the future if need arises.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was very good. There was an extra charge because there was a configured gas versus electric which was stated in the contract. It was stated upfront based on the discussions we had, and I realized my gas would be more expensive in a couple of hundreds.

Showed up precisely when he said he would. Found where sink was leaking and repaired. Since this job took only a short time to complete, the service charge was reduced at the plumber"s suggestion. I found service and professionalism to be excellent.

They were timely, efficient and professional.

The plumber was excellent to work with on the project. He used picture text, phone calls and his expertise to guide us in selecting the perfect fixture that I wanted. It was an elaborate fixture but something I had want for a long time. He was extremely helpful. I can not offer high enough praise . I would definitely use him again.

Mike and Ginger were prompt. They were very professional, pleasant and completed these small jobs quickly. They wiped up each sink area after they were finished. I would not hesitate to contact them in the future.

They were responsive and performed the work as advertised. Even helped us figure out where our main water turn off was in the house, since we hadn't discovered that after we moved in last year. Quality of the work was good and they used a good brand of water heater. Would hire them again.

It went great! One small very slow drip the following day from one of the fittings. We called them and they came out and fixed it without worry! GREAT JOB OVERALL!!! We originally called another company to look at our water heater, which was not working properly and had leaked water. The technician came out and told us we would need to replace our water heater because there was a pinhole in one of the pipes which was where the water was leaking. He also told us the burners for the gas would not stay lit because there was a crack in the water heater on the interior. We felt uneasy about the technician's assessment mainly because he did not physically show us where the problems were. He also stated our water heater could not be removed from the attic where it was located because the stairs and opening to access the attic was too small. In addition, he quickly suggested we think about a tankless water heater because we would have to leave the old water heater in the attic and said having two tank water heaters would be too much weight. Needless to say, we were not happy because of the foreseeable cost. We found DGM Plumbing on Angie's List. Even though they did not have a lot of reviews, the two available were glowing. In addition, they would come out for a free estimate. Their company was also local to where we lived unlike the previous company we called. We decided to call DGM, and they said they could swing by on their way to another job to look over our water heater. Mike and Ginger came to look at our water heater. Mike confirmed our water heater did need to be replaced because of the leak at the top. He did not think there was a crack in our water heater as the other technician stated only because Mike said the only way to confirm that would be to open the water heater which was impossible. He thought the gas burners needed replacing or something like that but replacing the water heater would take care of it. Mike did not try to sell us a water heater that was more than our home needed. He did try his best to figure out if the water heater could be removed without too much problem or damage to the ceiling. In the end, he stated they would have to leave it there unless we really wanted it removed, which we did not because of the extra work involved. Mike told us they would drain the water heater which would only make it about 100 lbs and we could leave it in our attic with no problem regarding safety issues. It would just take up space but we had a lot of that up there. He suggested we purchase a taller gas water heater which would fit nicely up the attic stairs. Both he and Ginger were very professional in their assessment and made sure we saw and understood what needed to be done. Ginger was nice to ask how long we had been without hot water. We felt they were concerned and attentive to our situation. They came the next morning with an additional worker to help. The old water heater was drained, removed and placed out of the way. The new water heater (which was a lot better brand than our old one) was installed and all the water pipes and gas connections were done professionally. The pan underneath the water heater which helps to drain water in case of a broken water heater had not drained well and when pointed out, Mike took a look at it and said it was tilted wrong and he could fix it for us. They worked quickly and did not leave any mess. It was so easy and we had hot water about an hour after they left. DGM Plumbing was wonderful and I could not recommend them enough! Mike and Ginger are honest and professional!

New tenant one of our rental houses called to say Piedmont Natural Gas would not turn on gas because vent pipe on water heater did not meet code. Called Mike and he was able to come out same day to light pilot so tenant could have hot water. While there he inspected current pipe and assured me it was safe - many older homes have this type of pipe, however, he recommended installing new double-wall pipe to bring it up to code and took measurements. Came out 2 days later and replaced the vent pipe from water heater up through roof. He did a great job at a reasonable price. I've used Mike for all my plumbing problems on 8 rental houses when he worked for another company. He has always done excellent quality work & arrives when he says he will. I was extremely sad when the other company went out of business but very happy when Mike called to say he had started his own business. He has many years of experience, is pleasant, professional, deals well with our tenants. He has taken care of with many different plumbing issues in the past with ease and rates are reasonable. I can highly recommend DGM and will continue to use them in the future!

Tenant called to say toilet bowl in her half bath was not filling up or only partially filling. She was concerned because this happened at a previous house she had lived in and the line backed up into the yard. Normally I go by and check on problems before calling the plumber but I was too busy that week. I called DGM and Mike responded quickly. It was a 5 minute fix - the little clamp that holds the tube that runs water into the drain & fills the bowl had come off so water was flowing back into the tank instead of filling the bowl. It took just a minute to find & fix the problem - he put a new clip on. It was such a minor thing he did not want to charge me, however, as a small business owner myself I paid him $30 to at least cover the cost of gas. He has done work for me before and is always punctual and honest. I highly recommend DGM!
