Prior to his starting this project, we laid out our expectations of what we wanted and he agreed he could provide a nice home for us. After 5 months of voicing our concerns because he mismeasured two windows, mismeasured the airform, did not attach the portico to the main building(we were told later that with a big wind, it could have collapsed and harmed someone) and he also mixed the concrete incorrectly that had already been sprayed in the home, we were at our wits end. The new doors were installed incorrectly with twisted hinges, preventing the doors from closing properly, and were hard to open because they drug on the floor,( how could we even put flooring in this home?) These brand new doors were put in and taken out so many times, now they look beat up because we now know he did not know how to install them. All the windows leak, and the minor caulking that he placed around the window casing look like a child fingerpainted it on. Also the airform was cut too short around windows and doors, so water/rain/dirt and debris were getting in between the airform and layer of sprayed-on foam and was causing bubbles and wrinkles in the airform. The work was very sloppy and looked like a patchwork quilt. We had to call in another company to fix the window casings, spray 2 " concrete over airform to rid the outside of wrinkles and bubbles and spray an additional 2inch of concrete to smooth out the rough edges that the improperly mixed concrete left on the interior walls at our cost. We finally told him in November that we did not want him to touch this home anymore, that we were very displeased and we contacted the Better Business Bureau in South Carolina he answered with single letter and denied all, They could not reach him for arbitration, which we requested. So they closed the case.
Description of Work: This company was hired to put up a foundation, with a 1500 sq ft dome home and to install windows and doors. A contract was written and work was started in Jan 2009. A payment plan was outlined in the contract and we followed this to the "T"; as soon as contractor arrived on site, we had his check written. We paid for all material and supplies in a timely manner and started getting very concerned when our project still wasn't completed after 11 months.
