+ -1 moreThey come out and do maintenance that's all they do. We pay them so much money a year and they do the maintenance, make sure it's running right, tune-ups, give us new filters for us and we don't have trouble. We used them for six years. They came out last summer. They come out always in the summer time. It wasn't that hot. You don't the air conditioner in August. We don't get that many good ones out here.

+ -1 moreThe owner of the company was away and it took several days for him to get back to me (I still don't know why it couldn't be fixed by one of his employees). Although I was most annoyed over the delay, once the repair was addressed I was satisfied with the result. Have dealt with them and been pleased with them in the past which is why I remain a customer. They have always been prompt, courteous, effecient and fair in there charges for services. Other than my annoyance with the last situation I will deal with them again and not hesitate to recommend them to others.
Description of Work: A compressor had to be replaced on my system which unfortunately went down on a few of the hottest days of the summer.

+ -1 moreI first filled out an online form for them to call me re an estimate for an HVAC system. I never received a response. About a week later, I called and left a message at their place of business on Frink St. I received a prompt call back and one of their people met me at my home that day after business hours. About a week later, I did not yet have back an estimate, so I called their office again, and was told someone would call me back. When they did, I was told that the specs were in an employees vehicle that had jury duty and they would call me back. I did not hear back from them. I called them back again 2 days later and was given the estimate I asked for over the telephone. The estimate for the installation of a furnace only was competitive; however, the estimate for a complete HVAC system was almost double that of 2 other HVAC companies.
Description of Work: No services performed. Estimate only given.

+ -1 moreIt is my understanding that the motor seized and some free-on had to be replaced.
Description of Work: I have owned the house approx. 5 yrs.and the a/c is serviced every yr.but has never had a breakdown until this yr. The company under contract for the a/c went out of business so I had to find a new company. Because of a health issue my A/C runs almost constantly on the hottest days of the summer and as Murphys law would have it, that is when it broke down. I searched Angis List to find a new company and came across Standard Htng, was impressed by what I read and called them. They were prompt, they took care of the problem and my a/c has been working satisfactory ever since. I was impressed with their professionalism and have signed a yearly contract with them. They were also very good about cleaning up after themselves. What impressed me the most was the fact that the company was working wth a skeleton crew (it's a small company and the boss and his wife who works the phone and does the bookkeeping were on vacation) but yet their staff found the time to assist me due to the fact I had no a/c on the hottest days of the summer. That's a company who cares about their customers. P.S. And I was a new one!

We have used this company since we purchased the house in 1969, including having them replace the furnace several years ago and the air conditioning unit about four or five years ago. They have always been quick in providing needed service, moderate in cost, and reliable.
Description of Work: Annual inspection and routine servicing of AC/heating system, including replacement of filters.

+ -1 moreThis company was much more professional, slick, and capable than the other company we have used. The person who came out knew what he was doing. He told us what the situation was. All of the personnel were very professional and capable.
