Tony and Will are two of the most meticulous and professional individuals. They very much care about their work, are very respectful of your home, and want to make sure their work is done to perfection. I would highly recommend them! Update November 2011: Please see the updated paragraph above under "services provided".
Description of Work: The amount listed above was actually paid to Flooring America (materials and installation), where I purchased the hardwood flooring. Real Deal Flooring was contracted by Flooring America to install my hardwood flooring. Update November 2011: On the day before they finished up the flooring on my stairs and upstairs hall in July, 2011, Tony, the owner of Real Deal Flooring, offered to replace a transition piece on my wood flooring in my foyer that stood out, to make it flush with the hardwood flooring, at no cost. Naturally, I was thrilled and readily accepted his generous offer, even offering to pay him, which he kindly refused. Tony told me they would do this the next day after they finished the job. At the end of the next day, he told me he couldn't do it at that time because he was going out of town, but he would call me upon his return and schedule a time to come over, since it wouldn't take but a short amount of time to replace the piece. I was just happy he offered to take care of it, so I said no problem. He also asked me to let Bob at Flooring America know how much I liked his work, and I gave him my word I would call Bob and tell him how happy I was, which I readily did. Well, a month went by and no word from Tony. I called him and he assured me he had not forgotten me and would call me. Another month came and went, and again no word from Tony. I called him again and told him if he didn't have the time, no problem, and again, we would be happy to pay him, but he insisted he would gladly do it for us, and would call me soon to schedule a time to come by. Another six weeks goes by, and no call from Tony. This time, I called him and told him to forget about it, because it was clear to me that he had no intention of doing it. He told me he would still come by, but I told him it was the same story from him every time I called, and it had been over 3 months. I reminded him that I had kept my word and called Flooring America to give Bob a glowing report about Tony's work. Tony proceeded to tell me that he did do good work, so that was true. I then told him that honoring your word is part of doing your job, and if you can't do that, then your work means nothing. He told me it was "my choice" for him not to replace the transition piece, which was pure baloney. It really is a shame that somebody that does such fine flooring work cannot keep his word. I'm not sure why he even offered to do this in the first place, when he really had no intention of doing it. So unfortunately, I can't in good consciousness recommend him or his company to anyone. Hopefully, he will remain true to his word with future customers, because he is talented.
