I contacted Jason by phone for an estimate. We did not have our tile yet, but he came out, took measurements and listened to our ideas. With that information he emailed an estimate the next day.A couple of weeks later, we had our tile and called Jason to set up an install date. He came out one more time before the install to look at the tile and to be sure he understood exactly what we wanted. As for the install...AA++. Far exceeded my expectations.

We'd hire John and any of his crew again in a heartbeat! They came as scheduled every day, did beautiful work, cleaned up after themselves and were very polite and professional. The price was more than fair for the quality of the craftsmanship. We've been completing a new home and an unfinished basement and have used many contractors, this was by far our best experience. John is a skilled craftsman, he's not hiring the work out to secondary crews, he's not a jack of all trades, he really knows tile. And in addition, even after we had settled up, he and his son came back the next morning after the grout had set just to do a final cleaning of the surface film and baseboards. I will be recommending this company to everyone, and using them again in the future.

We have had tiling done several times in previous houses, but the work done by Jason Gillespy was above and beyond what we expected. Jason is very talented and takes pride in doing the job properly. His work was outstanding. A professional tiler, he kept the house clean, helped with design and completed the job as we wanted and on time. We can recommend him to anyone.

Our Tile floor was shot and had never been done properly, He came out looked at the problem and took up the old tile. We were not concerned about a perfect match, just fixing the problem. He did what was needed for a fair price. He came out to the house 3 times in the evenings. Other estimates were much more than he charged, In 5 years we have not had a problem

Customer service & work both excellent. Called and John came out the next day to go over the job; I mentioned some of my concerns - subfloor not being 100% level, ensuring transitions to newly installed hardwoods looked good, etc. I had an estimate the same night. When we agreed we would proceed and identified a date, him and his assistant came out exactly when they said they would, and the job duration was as expected, if not less (1 full day + an hour the following day for grout work). Most precise tile work I've seen - even with having to compensate for unevenness in the subfloor...plus did a great job of milling the existing hardwood transitions so they could be re-used. Did not even need to re-install the quarter round molding. Cost was as quoted. Very helpful w/ ideas for other areas of the house I had questions about updating. Would recommend and definitely use again.

The En Suite Bathroom was a total renovation - totally gutted. Total cost was $18,000.00 (including tile, plumbing, electrician, demo, installation performed by various contractors. Tile was designed/installed by Gillespy Tile. Existing shower and garden tub removed to have an over-sized luxurious customized full shower; new vanity/sink, mirror and lighting sconces; all new bathroom fixtures. Gillespy Tile workmanship exceeded my expectations - the quality of their work is superior. We collaborated during the installation - for which Gillespy Tile offered suggestions. John and Jason were a pleasure to work with during this project. I love my new bathroom - spa-like atmosphere. They also tiled my Guest Bathroom's floor. I highly recommend Gillespy Tile for a large or small project.

John tore out an existing shower stall (2 walls of cultured marble, 2 walls of glass). We wanted to enlarge the shower using a specific shower system that warranties against mold if an approved installer does the work. We found John was an approved installer, and after speaking with several other approved installers, we decided to go with John. He advised us on approximate dimensions that would look appropriate for the overall master bathroom space, and he guided us on the steps not only that he would work through but also the steps that would need to occur after his tile work was complete. John removed the existing shower, built a knee wall to house a bench inside the shower, and tiled the space (2 complete walls of tile, 2 smaller and shorter walls where the knee was was built, shower pan). He was very professional, very prompt, and the work looks fantastic. Pricing was only for John's services, and it was in line with other companies I spoke with before deciding on John. This type of work is expensive regardless who performs the work...thus the reason for a Good rating...too bad it can't be a little less expensive! But the work was worth every penny. We also needed to leave John to work during the days while we were at work, and we felt very comfortable about leaving him in our house alone. He was extremely attentive to cleaning up each day (as best as he could given it's a dusty, messy process), and he even laid out drop clothes along the path from the front door (he cut the tile outside) to the master bathroom. We appreciated that extra bit of care for our house, and we didn't even ask him to do that! We would absolutely recommend him to others and actually have already to a few friends that would like to renovate their master showers, and we would definitely use him again in the future for any type of work he could provide for us. Very, very happy!

I love it and everybody also loves it. They guy that did the work was very humble and he took criticism great. He was very professional when he wants to a great job and he takes pride in his work. He was just a personable man and really tried to do the best that he could do. It about 2.5 days to get everything done and it was very good work. It was a little bigger job because he did under and above the cabinets. I would highly recommend him for any tile work in the house.

Mike came out to take a look at the kitchen and the areas that I wanted tiled. He took his time and was very meticulous in his measuring. He asked a lot of helpful questions that I didn't think or know to ask. Once I decided to go with his company, he promptly scheduled a time to come out to the house to perform the job. He respected my opinion and was able to "translate" my vision for the backsplash into reality. He and his employee worked steadily and were very professional. After the backsplash was completed, I found some imperfections and John was quick to make corrections. He was humble and open to suggestions while not compromising the professional quality of work. One of the things I immediately sensed from Mike is that he has a genuine commitment to an honest work ethic and excellence in his work. I am so pleased with how the backsplash turned out! I have received so many compliments on the work he did and my kitchen looks GREAT! I will definitely have him work for me again! Thank you, Gillespy Tile!

We were looking to have some tile work completed and John was referred to us by some friends. He came highly recommended. We contacted him to come out and give us an estimate. He was prompt for our appointment, which I liked. I was immediately impressed with his knowledge, and his willingness to offer his opinions on what he thought would look best. After receiving his price to complete the work, we agreed to move forward with the installation. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised with how reasonable his pricing was. We started in the kitchen with the installation of tile on the backsplash above the granite countertops. The tile along with the accents that he recommended really looked great! Next, we moved on to the master bathroom. We had a cultured marble shower that we wanted replaced with tile, as well as installing new tile on the floor. It was a complete tear out and John was very meticulous about the layout. Once again, we were really impressed with his workmanship and design. When the glass company came out to install the glass in the shower, he told me that it was perfectly square. He went on to say that he had been installing glass for a while and he seldom see that. Next, he installed new tile in the guest bathroom. We called him back again a few weeks ago to tile the floor on a new screened porch and laundry room and once again, we were so happy with the finished project! We have referred John to several of our friends and he has completed work for them as well. So, if you are looking for someone that is dependable, reasonable and provides excellent workmanship, John is your guy!

John was very thorough and explained every step of the project. His bid was very reasonable and complete. He was on time and finished the work in the time we had set aside. I will DEFINITELY be using him on my future projects!

What made John stand out during the estimate process was his request to lay out my tile and accent pieces. Surprisingly, he discovered there was a substantial shortage of both to do the project! While this delayed the project by several days, it would have been far more disruptive to discover the shortage after the backsplash was started. He also told me he would caulk the seam where the granite countertop and backsplash meet to prevent water from seeping through the seam when the granite settles. His was not the lowest or highest bid but I felt he priced it just right. Also, John has a webpage that shows a number of intricate tile installations. This webpage was another factor in choosing him because it showed such high quality results. John was easy to reach and easy to schedule. John is very professional, is efficient, and has a very nice manner. He was careful to cover up areas to prevent a mess and cleaned up thoroughly after his work. The finished backsplash is beautiful. It is clear John loves his work!

John Gillespy is a tile installer and he did an excellent job. I am very pleased with him. He has taken pictures of the work done in my house to put it on his website. He is very thorough and skilled at what he does. He responded quickly to our calls and he was available when we needed him. So that was great. He was very knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of advice. He really seemed to know what he was doing. I would definitely use his services in the future too.
