Description of Work: I made three separate appointments with them to give me an estimate for siding repair. They were a no show for each one, without even a phone call to say they were unable to make it. When I called to ask why they never showed I got a 'something came up' excuse. They obviously have no need of any new clients. Wouldn't use them if they paid me.

He is great. Dependable and honest...what more can you want?
Description of Work: Jamie Drake came toour house because our fire alarm was going off and since it's electric we couldn't figure out how to stop it. He showed us where the battery was located and changed it. He didn't even charge us. We will keep his card and use him again for repairs.

Was prompt when I inquired; I received the estimate on Sunday, was his was the best of three I interviewed. By Tuesday the job was completed, and he stood by his price, despite the fact that it took longer than he estimated. He was very thorough, did not rush. I was very satisfied.
Description of Work: Replaced rotted fascia board along the roofline and cleaned out debris behind it.

We wanted to have pull down attic access installed in our 1922 home, since there was not really any access to the attic before. Jamie came over, took a look and gave us an estimate. We had gift cards for a large home improvement store to use to purchase the materials, and he actually met us out there to pick out everything, and then he took the stuff that wouldn't fit in out car with him. We were really impressed that he was so willing to work with us on this. They came over on the scheduled day, and were here most of the day. They were a little late getting here, and were here until 9:30 at night, but we didn't have a problem with that. Several things came up through the course of the project that caused delays and created challenges, and they kept us up to date on everything. They came up with creative solutions to all of the issues that came up, and were receptive to our feedback. I was really impressed with how precise they were, and how much time they spent making sure everything was right. We felt like we were a part of the whole process, and we really enjoyed it. Overall, the were helpful, did great work, and were very personable.
Description of Work: They installed pull down attic access in the small hallway of our 1922 home. This involved climbing through a tiny access panel, hole, that was already in our bathroom ceiling, cutting through almost 100 year old ceiling boards and rafters, which were very thick, framing the new hold, installing the pull down stairs, and adding trim to match the existing trim work in the house. They also had to move the smoke detector we thought was battery operated, but that they discovered was wired to the rest of the smoke detectors in the house, we had no idea!. They had to do some creative framing since our house has settled and is not level anywhere. They also had to do most of the work with flash lights since we asked them to remove the only light in the hallway, and all the doors to rooms with light were closed so that they wouldn't get the other rooms dirty. They even met my husband at a large home improvement store when he went to buy plywood for the attic floor, and brought the plywood back in their truck because he couldn't fit it in his station wagon like we had planned. We really feel like we got fantastic service for the price. We did end up paying more than the estimated price, but Jamie was clear up front that there may be additional cost if we ran into anything unexpected, which we knew would happen in such an old house. With the amount of extra work that had to be done though, I feel that the extra charge was very reasonable, if not kind of low.
