I shopped around several reputable companies and Darryl at Capital Palmetto Builders had the best price. Though it was the best price, the service was still exceptional. I will be using them again and recommending to my clients.

Andrew Howell was our point of contact with Capital Palmetto Builders and he was extremely professional. He walked us through the entire process and patiently answered all of our questions. He was on site during the installation to make sure everything was done properly. He also conducted a follow up inspection after the install was completed. We were very satisfied with both the quality and speed of the installation as well as the cleanup. Although this was our second house, we had never had a roof replaced. Andrew made the process as smooth and painless as possible. I would absolutely recommend Capital Palmetto Builders.

Totally pleased and happy!!!! From the first contact with customer service, til the job was complete, the company was fantastic! We tried searching for a local company to repair our roof, without much success. Then we extended our search outside our local area, and was beginning to lose faith trying to find a reliable company to travel outside their local area to help us. Finally on my last hope I contacted Capital Palmetto Builders. Customer service was awesome! I was reassured someone would contact me, and sure enough someone did within the day. Took approximately a week to get the repairs completed, (mainly due to bad weather). Kudos to Clint Harden who stay in constant contact! Clint and the company are the best! One last note, my roof is approximately 10 yrs old, finding shingles to match was a challenger, I’d like to thank Clint Harden for allowing me to trust in him to find an almost perfect match! Great job! Would highly recommend!

Darryl and his crew were great, he came out quickly with a drone to assess the entire roof for all possible damage and then provided a very reasonable quote to fix the areas. He was super easy to work with and his crew was on time and efficient. Will call on him again. It was a small fix that most roofers couldn't be bothered with but we really needed his help in order to put our home on the market and he came through for us.

Everything about our experience with Capital Palmetto Builders and Darryl was great. Darryl made it all easy. He was with us when we made the initial call to the insurance company to explain what he found when he did his inspection for wind and hail damage with his drone. He did most of the talking and sent all the pictures to them. Darryl talked with the adjuster again, took more photos, and sent them when the adjuster requested them. The adjuster was so happy with what he received that he didn't even come to the house for an inspection. They agreed to pay for the whole replacement except for the deductible which saved us quite a lot of out-of-pocket money. As soon as we got the approval from the insurance company, he came over to help us choose the shingles and explained the process in detail. He got our house on the schedule, and the work was completed in a little over 1 day. If the work had been done in the summer with more daylight hours, they would have finished in 1 day. Darryl came back after the work was finished and made a final drone inspection. Then he sent us photos of the completed roof. We have already recommended Capital Palmetto Builders to several family members and friends.

I called Capital Palmetto Builders to have a repair done to my Chimney flashing (beginning to leak into the house). I called them specifically because of their great reviews both here and on Google. I actually called several large roofing companies in the Columbia area, and was told that they “aren’t doing any roofing repairs, only replacements”. I had a lot of trouble reaching these companies, and getting anyone to call me back-the resounding answer I got was that they were too busy for my repair. I called CPB and they took my info and said someone would reach out to me. Andrew Howell called me very promptly and even came out to look at the leak on a Sunday morning! He was extremely professional, and quickly Identified the problem as the chimney flashing (which I had suspected) he also informed me that I had hail damage on the roof, which I was unaware of. Instead of dumping money into an old roof, I filed a claim w/ my insurance for the hail damage. Andrew Howell and Daryl Phelps came out and actually helped me file the claim with the insurance. They also came out when the adjustor came to inspect, to represent my best interest and help explain their findings to the adjustor. The insurance company approved a full roof replacement. So with the help of CPB I got a brand new roof (with high end archetectural shingles) for about the same amount of money I would’ve been putting into the chimney flashing repair. For the actual replacement, they came out early one morning and began the work with a very large crew. They were able to remove the old shingles and get probably 90% complete in the first day. The next day they came back to finish everything up and clean up all of the old materials. After the roof was finished, Daryl and Andrew both came out and flew a drone over the house to get close up pictures and videos, and to inspect the work their crew had completed. I couldn’t be happier with the work that they completed. They helped me get a brand new roof on the house, when I was thinking I was going to have to dump more money into my old roof. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and can tell you after reaching out to multiple roofing companies, they are the best in the greater Columbia/Lexington area. Andrew and Daryl are top notch, very professional, and definitely here to help you.

Capital builders replaced my ugly roof after the hurricane. It looks amazing! The roofing crew arrived early at 7am and completed my roof at 12pm. As soon as they were done they cleaned up very nice. I had walked around the house to see if I could find nails or garbage when they left, and nothing was found. I'm very satisfied with them! I would highly recommend working with Darryl Phelps. Darryl made my experience stress free. Thank you Darryl and all those who helped my house look beautiful once more! I will be adding a before and after photo of my house. The low lighting doesn't do the roof any justice.

Capital Palmetto went above and beyond as they coordinated with the insurance company and my Mom's care worker provider as my Mom has dementia and I live in California. This was extremely useful and ensured a smooth process from start to finish.

I’m a real estate agent here in Columbia. We had a contract on one of our listings where the inspection revealed issues with the roof. Our job as agents is to do all we can to save our clients money and protect them while selling their home. With us representing the seller we knew he was not going to be willing to replace the roof on the home -we decided to contact Darryl Phelps with Capital Palmetto. He had mentioned in the past if there is substantial damage to the roof we can try to get the current insurance to cover the roof being replaced. Darryl helped me, our client, and the buyer understand what was going to happen. Everyone agreed to pursue. Darryl met the adjuster at the home to point out all the defects. The home, garage, and even the shed were approved for replacement! The job was completed in one day. Darryl also sent pictures throughout the day so I didn’t have to worry with the progress. As someone who works in marketing and customer service, I set very high expectations for people and companies I choose to hire. It's very rare that companies exceed those expectations. I was pleasantly surprised that Capital Palmetto Builders shattered them. I worked with a Project Manager named Daryl Phelps who was very communicative, helpful, flexible, and patient. Daryl went out of his way several times to communicate effectively with myself and my wife about the project scope, cost, and constraints. Daryl was very honest with us even when their was a manufacturer mistake, he took ownership of the mistake instead of trying to blame others. After I asked what happened, only then did he explain the manufacturer mistake. I was impressed that he took ownership of the mistake, even when it wasn't his! That's what people with a high degree of integrity and professionalism do. They don't make excuses, they acknowledge problems and then make them right. CPB and Daryl earned a lot of trust, which is rare for companies to do. I have already committed to doing another big project with them a few years down the road.

Darryl Phelps responded to my 86 year old Mom's call to repair a leaky roof area over her sunroom. Upon inspection, Darryl found the entire roof was damaged, and he worked independently with her insurance adjuster to get replacement funding for the entire roof! Capital replaced the entire roof (including replacing a good bit of plywood base) in a very timely and professional manner. They were fast, high quality workers who hauled off all debris and cleaned Mom's property once finished. (In fact, one of Mom's concrete planters was accidentally broken, and Capital is replacing it.) I can't say enough good things about Darryl's care and attention to Mom personally. HIGHLY recommend these folks! You will be very pleased.

Capital Palmetto Builders was professional and best-in-class from beginning to end. Darryl provided expert consultation on roof type, timing, materials, everything. The estimate was spot on, including replacement of worn and rotted boards under the shingles. The crew began work almost immediately. They provided a detailed explanation of what to expect and what to move prior to the job to ensure no plants or outdoor assets were damaged during tearoff. I work from home, so I truly appreciate the speed with which they worked, with minimal noise from the crew. It was so respectful in every way of my work situation. The first day they worked from early to late, putting up with 98 degree heat to get as much done as possible. They finished everything, including meticulous cleanup, in less than a day and a half. Darryl handled the business side with professional courtesy and personal affability.
