The associate was given a bottle with a phone number & address on it. He could not read the phone number so I gave him the number and repeated the correct address multiple times. I was handed a paper with what needed to be added, it was OUT OF THIS WORLD HIGH.... I have not added that much stuff to the pool ( combined) in the entire almost 3 years I have lived there. I questioned him about the chemicals and expressed my concerns about the amount that I was being told to add. The gentleman assured me they were correct. So, over the next 3 days I added what was on the sheet. ( including OVER 300 POUNDS OF SALT) Only to have my pool look like a swamp upon returning from vacation. I took the water in to have it tested again, I explained that I was there and on what day, and what happened. The associate that was helping me this time punched in the phone number and IMMEDIATELY SAID OH MY GOSH, I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. It turns out that I was correct in questioning the first man, I was given chemicals based on a 40,000 gallon pool when mine is only 20,000 gallon.( both under the same phone number because both houses were at one point owned by the same person. This is the reason that I gave him MY address MULTIPLE TIMES) I was then told that with the level of salt in my pool it would DESTROY MY SYSTEM if I did not get it down immediately. I had to drain my pool below the skimmer 4 times and refill my pool. (My pool is STILL CLOUDY ) When I took the water in on 8/1/2016 for the 3rd time to have it tested, the gentleman that originally gave me the wrong instructions/ chemicals tested my water and advised me that all my levels were fine, except my PH which was high. In further speaking with him I told him that my salt level was still at 5000, when I questioned him he STARTED SCREAMING AT ME ( WHICH AT THE POINT HE RAISED HIS VOICE I IMMEDIATELY BEGAN RECORDING THE CONVERSATION) in front of other customers. Another gentleman came out at my request to answer my questions because I was so taken aback by this man and his uncalled for, unprofessional behavior. I left with NO rectification and more than a little frazzled by the events. I contacted the store manager on 8/2/206, Brian who very politely explained to me that this was an honest mistake and because I did not " BUY" anything that day he/ they would NOT compensate me in any way shape or form, for the hundreds of dollars in chemicals or pay a portion of my water bill for his associates' error .
