Description of Work: I had Aire serve doing annual maintenance on my HVAC unit. They were always trying to sell, I was never sure if they were doing a job or not. The kind of information they gave me (what was needed to maintain the system) was incorrect--found out with my new contracted service.

Description of Work: I purchased a system check-up deal from Angie's List. During the inspection a bad capacitor was found and that was replaced. Prompt and professional technician.

Description of Work: Purchased the Angie's list 39.00 HVAC inspection special. Upon inspection, tech found weak fan capacitor and recommended replacement but said it could wait since it was not completely gone. I opted to replace to avoid future issue. Tech Jason was very nice, polite and educational as I have only owned my house for a brief period of time, he helped me understand my HVAC system better. I would definately use this company again and would hope that Jason would still be available to assist when needed.

Description of Work: They did a good job on the advertized part and gave me an estimate on redoing my ductwork. I could have done without the older of the two telling me they didn't make anything on the special. They also did not give me options about the kind of ducting. When I inquired, they said the quoted cost was for flexible ducting and the rigid would be more. I would have had the options explained to me with the pros and cons.

Description of Work: They came to my house to check out a problem I was having with my Air Conditioner/ Heat Pump. They said I had a bad Blower Board and that since I had agreed to become a member of theirs for maintenance it was going to costs only $525.00, instead of $618.00. They got the Board and fixed the problem and were supposed to perform maintenance on my unit and check my Duct Work. I thought they did, so I paid them a total of $624.99. Well a couple of days later I had to go in the Attic and much to my surprise some of my Duct Work had come loose from the main Distribution Box. I called and talked to the manager and he denied that his Technicians did it. I didn't think they did, but they sure did not tell me, so either they did not check the Duct Work or just forgot to tell me. Well I let that past, because he said he was going to have to charge me $100.00 to send his Technicians back to fix the problem. I did not want them back. The next thing that happened is that my Air Handler is in the Downstairs Closet and I was in it one day and noticed that they left the filter out. This put everything under question, so I checked on the costs of the Blower Board and turns out it only costs $42.00! I tried to get in touch with the owner, but ended back with the Manager. He check on the Board his Technicians ordered and what they billed and admitted they had made a mistake. They came back put in the filter and checked the Duct Work, fixed one spot (I had already fixed the others). | |The thing that got me was the arrogance of them, especially the Manager. You expect them to be a little apologetic/humble. I cannot even remember them saying that they were sorry. They did give me back $245.00 that they over charged me, after I found it out and brought it to their attention. I will be cancelling my membership and asking for my money that I paid for that also. | |Would I use them again never. Description of Work: After speaking with provider, they explained that the deposit I mentioned was given at time of service although it was not indicated on receipt. I accept their explaination. As far as the addition inspections that I paid for, they said that they were to call me in the months that they was due. In general, I am satified with their service, although I that in the future all things are explained a little more.
