Description of Work: Performed maintenance on gas furnace/air handler and A/C units as part of an Angie's List HVAC maintenance deal. Technician found a capacitors (one on the air handler and one on the outside A/C condenser) which were reading on the lower end of normal range values. The tech suggested they both be replaced on his visit to avoid having to pay for an extra visit should they fail before his next trip back. I noted that these components had been replaced within the past year and requested he check with the office to determine if they were under warranty. He contacted the office and was instructed to replace the components at no charge.

Well as could be expected.
Description of Work: The AC stopped working on the weekend, so it was $89 for a weekend call. He was able to get running for the weekend to make it bearable and had to order a control board and install later which was $525.99.

Description of Work: They came out to let me know what was wrong with my HVAC. Discovered there was no power and we found one side of the double breaker would not reset. He said he does not do electrical. I don't understand how you service HVAC AND NOT DO ELECTRICAL WORK. Either way, changing a breaker is easy enough and I offered to run to store 5 mins away and grab one to replace it. He was not willing to wait and charged me the service call for nothing. I thought the service window was for two hours. He gave me 15 mins.

Most HVAC companies do not have electrical license and per our liability insurance can not repair any item in the main panel.If the home caught on fire for any reason and it was traced back to panel my liability insurance would not pay for damages since we are not an electrical company.You did offer to go get a breaker and we decided that if you had any issues with unit after breaker was changed I would come back out for free and recheck unit.I was at this home of 38 minutes (we have gps on our trucks)Sir I checked the unit for electrical shorts and discussed the duct work issues you had and volunteered to come back out for free if you had any issues with unit after breaker was changed.thank you for the work and posting a report.
