For what he did I thought his pricing was fair. He cut the wood up for firewood for my daughter and son-in-law. He came out when he told me he would. He cut a little bit more off the tree than we wanted, but he did not damage the tree. He called right back and came out right away with no hesitation. He was really good.
Description of Work: I think we used Blue Ridge Tree Service to trim our trees. He cut it all down and then hauled it off.

They did a very good job. It was a long time ago and it turns out well. I put new trees in place of them, where they were. It was a family owned business and there you see the tough ones and they are very reliable and good people. In having that kind of business, you have to be careful. They let me know when they were coming and they came on time and they did it and they were out of here.
Description of Work: The trees were already cut down, Blue Ridge Tree Services just removed the big stomps in my yard. They are really big pine trees and they had to dig them up and they have the machine and all that kind of stuff used.

They showed up at about 9:00 in the morning I didn't know they were there until they knocked on my door. They were all set up and ready to put the tree down and wanted to let me know before they started the chain saw. The hickory nut was by my front door and they wanted me away from that side of the house in case it went the wrong way but it didn't. They had to trim a lower branch on another tree to keep it from rolling the wrong way. They put the tree down right were it we wanted it. They then moved to the back yard and poplar tree. They had to take down my chain link fence and as a precaution moved my 2 pecan trees I had just planted in case the poplar did not fall right, Everything went perfect as I described above.
Description of Work: They were to cut 2 trees for me on this day, a hickory nut and a poplar. The poplar tree had been hit by lightning and it would have fallen on the middle of my neighbors house when it fell on it's own. It was in the worst possible location, back corner of the lot surrounded by other small trees. They had to fall the tree in a specific spot with no room for error, between a peach tree and a fig tree, I told them as long as they save the peach tree the fig will recover easier. The other tree services said they would have to take it down a piece at a time and it would take all day and they would have to put it down in the middle of the fig tree, and their quote was a lot higher. Blue Ridge Tree Service fell the tree exactly where they needed to, and I do mean exactly. The tree was at least 120 feet tall. They lightly brushed the peach tree it was more side wind and the fig tree has some outside branches on the poplar that could not be avoided but the fig was not damaged. The owner Scott Smith is one of the best tree cutters I've seen. He has done some work for my parents and I have 4 more trees he is going to cut for me.
