TruGreen Lawn Care - 5069

Paid for a years service, up front, on April 18th 2013. Sent email regarding having received no service on May 7th. Received no response in email or phone. On May 9th an automated phone service stated that I would be receiving service the next day. No one came. They seemed nice enough on the phone when I called to cancel and apologized. From other reviews, I can assume I am not an isolated experience. Sorry I didn't check them out on Angies List first. My bad.

I am not happy with them at all. They last came out a month ago. They are difficult to contact. Nobody will return my call. The quality of their work was poor. I would stay away from that company. The price was reasonable. I would not use them in the future. I would say run, don't walk away from them!

I have never had a problem with them. They are always on time and the people that come out to work are excellent.

I had three appointments that this group never showed up for. After the second failure I contacted corporate, who assured me that they would make the third appointment. They were a no show claiming snow was causing an issue in my area. It has been at least a year since I have seen snow stick and certainly not in late March. I am starting to wonder if their techs were in the correct state.

They did what they said they would. Most service men were knowledgeable. They told me that the lawn would look worse before it looked better. I didn't realize that by the time they had extinguished all the weeds I would have no grass left. I now have a bare, dirt covered front lawn. The service man offered to put down grass on his own for a price, but I just canceled the service and will decide what to do about the lawn next year. I wish I had understood that when the weeds were eliminated I would have no grass left.

When we contacted them the representative, Michael, came out, reviewed our lawn and recommended a program to correct the deficiencies that existed and gave me a quote to do so. After reviewing the proposal, i signed up for the program for this year to see how it would work out. Michael came out each scheduled time and made the required applications of fertilizer, weed killer, pre-emergents, etc as required for the appropriate seasonal schedules. He is very personable and highly professional in his service. Also, when necessary to contact their office for rescheduling or other requests, the phone response was very satisfactory. It worked!! We are very satisfied. Our lawn is much improved and we will continue the program for the next year. An added benefit, which we took, was a discount if one paid the total annual cost up front. An added note: we had heard of other lawn servicing companies and their poor customer service and were somewhat skeptical but decided to try it for a year. I don't have personal experience with these other companies but Scott's does what they say the will do.

It generally goes extremely well. On one occasion, however, one of the men sent to the house did not do the back yard, and it took about a week to resolve this. That said, the owner was committed to making it right and did so. I don't think that employee works for them anymore.

They do a in credible job for me. They are very accmoidating too.

They phrase extra work that make it seems like it will be part of your service, but its ends up costing you extra money.

They're good. I was happy with their service and would use them again.

We have been using them for years. They keep the lawn healthy and keep the weeds down. They give recommendation on what I a do also.

I am happy with them. They get back to me with any concerns that I have. If I see something that I am not happy with I call them up and they are very good about it. I just talked to him the other day about a concern I had; they went back to their headquarters, hashed it out, and came back with a fix for me.

.I am very happy with the service they treat the tree and scrubs very well in fact I didn't some of my bushes flowered til they started treating them. But I wasn't happy with the lawn service so they don't do that part any longer. I am pretty happy with the work they do for me now.I will keep on using them.

A little history ... We used another big name lawn care service in the area for the past few years, every spring our grass would just die out - no matter how well it looked the previous season - the weeds never went away - the other company said this was "normal" after a year or two you would think not - we continued with them until a bad experience with a new member of their team. We quit service and decided to do the upkeep on our own. This spring, we noticed the Scott's service truck in our neighborhood so we contacted them to give us an assessment and quote for our yard. Their prices were in line with what we expected, their products are Scott's and MiracleGro - names we know and use ourselves. For the price it is well worth having the Scott's service team take care of the yard fertilization and care as they perform the duties "on time" whereas we may put off until it's too late :)

Did not complete the work timely. Difficult to reach. Does not return phone calls.

First, they kept coming without calling first. It was clearly stated that because I have dogs that have to go out before the treatment they must call. Dogs cannot go out on the ground for 3 hours after application. Second, they came when we had standing water from a couple of days rain. Again they just showed up and we explained that we already have standing water and spraying the yard now would mean that the standing water would be contaminated by weed killer and we have dogs. So finally we had a scheduled time. They showed up and were gone in what seemed like less than 10 minutes. Now I have another call in to them because they need to come back as there is a LOT of yard that never saw weed killer and was untreated because of shoddy application. I am still waiting for the call to schedule the return visit. They were also supposed to come and fertilize my trees and bushes which hasn't happened. I asked that they send someone (after calling first because I have to open the gate) and I am still waiting...I think they are inexperienced and are new to the area. definitely do not have it together!!!! I am switching to an established company. I am fed up!

I did not give them an Excellent for product quality, only because I haven't seen the results for a full year, and the lawn has some catch-up due to the poor service from Supergreen. They are very professional, provide excellent information on the services to be provided. Each promised service has been on-time, well documented, with good instructions on what we should do afterwards. I will update the review after a full year, wanted to submit a great job so far, and try ot get Angie's List to stop sending me reminder emails. :)

They are good at what they do. I will continue to use them.

I cancelled the first time after 2 months...they never made an appointment when they said they would...and poor quality of service. The second time they convinced me to come back under different management...the service was good for a while...then a new manager...they left my gate open and let my dogs out....very unprofessional resonse to my call.

So far I'm really pleased. I had another company for 3 years then I dropped them for a year then started up with Scott about 6 weeks ago. They have a policy if where after they spray the weeds are not gone they will come back for free. I had one scheduled call then I had 2 unscheduled calls where they came back free to spray again. I have my second scheduled call in a couple of weeks. That is one of the things I really like about them, if there is a problem in between scheduled calls they will come back and spray again. I have a large yard and they do most of it. Based on the short time I've worked with them I really like what they've done.

They are very professional. They are very easy to talk to.

Bottomline, a very unprofessional approach!

I have been using them for two years now. I have been happy with the results in my yard. They charge me about $70 a treat. They come as per their schedule and not mine. They just come and do the job.

A customer service rep called me and tried to sell me a product that I did not want. He continued to badger me and I told him no! A few days later another person called from the local office and tried to sell me the product again and I said no but he continued to press on. I spoke with the local office manager and she was very friendly and understanding. Then I get a call from the "home office" in Texas and I get the same song and dance again. After 5 years being with this company, that was to much "hard sell" and they did not back off after I called the local office. I will NEVER do business with this company again in this area.
