Taurus Construction

Taurus Construction provided a very detailed and professional looking itemized estimate for a reasonable cost to repair and paint the damaged ceiling drywall. Once the contract was signed, we scheduled the work to be performed in a timely manner. When the workers showed up, they were from another company. Apparently, Taurus decide to sub-contract the work, which is common in this industry, However, the other company never received a copy of the contract. As a result, items that were quoted on the contract such as protecting the brand new hardwood flooring with a protective covering such as Ram board or using scaffolding where needed were not performed. They said they could complete the job in one day, when other companies said it would take 3-4 days. This should have been a warning sign for me as the workers began cutting corners. Once I realized what was occurring, I attempted to communicate with the sub-contractors to wait for the paint to fully dry before applying a second coat. I was informed that the sub-contractors did not speak any English. I let them continue to work in hopes that a quality repair job would be executed. However, the end result was that the ceiling has a ripple effect where the repair job was performed. The repair jobs looks really bad now and I will have to hire another company to fix was work these guys performed.

Josh and his crew came in and did an excellent job of replacing subflooring. They removed a cabinet, keeping it intact along with the counter top, and replaced the subflooring. They returned everything to original or better condition. They also repaired damage done by the other crews that had come in to remove the top flooring. Josh and his crew were always polite, careful, and explained everything they were doing and why they were doing it.
