He quickly identified an exhaust pipe that was not securely fastened and glued it together, which stopped the water leaking through our ceiling. David also noticed a clogged gutter that had caused some water damage in another room and recommended a solution yo prevent further damage.
Description of Work: David did a preliminary roof inspection and fixed a leak that had done considerable damage to our ceiling.

+ 1 moreDavid was prompt in coming out to give us an estimate which I thought was very reasonable for the work needed to be done. Within a couple of days he had his crew come out to start work. Everything was finished within a few days. The workers cleaned up after themselves and the property was left in perfect condition. At the end of the job David came out to make sure we were happy with the work. This project could not have gone better. I will definitely have DG Builders do additional work that we have planned. I have already recommended him to friends.

+ -1 moreMr Gerish was kind enough to still come by to take a look at my roof even though we discussed on the phone that he would not be performing any work since he does not work with flat rubber roofs and the deal I bought did not exclude this type of roof. He was very professional and was able to give me some suggestions about going about the process of repairing and maintaining my roof. Mr Gerish was also kind enough to offer to initiate a refund of the $149 I payed Angie's List for the package since no work was performed and there was a mismatch between the services provided by Mr Gerish and the services that I needed to be performed, vis-a-vis the flat rubber roof work.
Description of Work: Provider does not work with flat rubber roofs.

Even after the job was completed, I was able to contact owner with questions. He was always more than willing to return phone calls promptly and showed no hesitancy. Overall, I was very pleased with their work and professionalism. I highly recommend them and will definitely hire them again for future home projects.

+ 1 moreExcellent service. Would recommend them to anyone. They are able to explain everything in detail. This project was a complete shock and surprise. What started out to be adding a door in lieu of a window, turned out to be a massive undertaking. They even had to remove black mold. They also took extra steps to ensure that mold would not recur by putting a thick layer of lime and heavy black plastic to line the ground under the house.
Description of Work: I had to have a room torn down and completely rebuilt. The original project was to have been the removal of a window and enlarging that opening to accomodate a door. When the opening was enlarged, it was clear there was rot and standing water under the flooring. We had to back up and reconsider the entire project. David Gerish was able to do the entire job and have subcontractors complete wiring and plumbing as needed. The entire project was completed promptly and with minimal disruption. They also were great at cleaning up after their job. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a major overhaul on a room or additions to their homes.

+ -1 moreOriginally it was estimated the take 3 days. With the extra work required because of the saturated ground from the rain the job lasted 5 days. I was concerned that they might rush and take short cuts to complete this on time but that was not the case. The yard and work area were cleaned and left as found. I have been a homeowner for 33 years and have always done everything myself only hiring three contractors previous to this (mainly for excavation). I have a hard time giving up control but I was very comfortable dealing with David. We just moved to Easley from out of state so it was great to find a competent contractor here.
Description of Work: David and his crew installed approximately 790' of fence around our yard. This included, 60" high, welded wire fence on wood posts and 60' of 4'6"high, (built on site) picket fence by the house, with 3 picket gates. The runs are between 180' and 230' long and straight as an arrow. This was during and after the 4 or 5 days of drenching rain we had, making the ground somewhat unstable. David installed extra supports to maintain the integrity and strength of the fence. Anytime there were any questions or concerns they were answered concise and clearly and to our satisfaction. While the price was a little higher than we wanted to spend it was money well spent as the quality shows. The most important thing of all is the fact that my wife, and the dogs, love the fence. Thanks again to David, Stewart, Mario and Matt.

+ 0 moreDid a great job on the fence and the porch. Everything went as expected except that the screen door to the porch started to droop and was crooked and started to drag the floor. Complained and the door was eventually replaced, however, the problem reappeared shortly thereafter.

+ -1 moreDavid is the owner. He really did get it done fast. He's a wonderful young man. He's very respectful towards older folks. He was very open to our suggestions and requests. We had no problem. His crew was very good. They cleaned up. As a matter of fact, there are only 10 houses in our neighborhood. They all came over and looked at it and I know that one person has already had him build a deck. I have his number in my phone because every time one asks me questions, I would say how I can have no idea of what they are talking about. He worked really hard with the design that we wanted. The original estimate was $16000 and we had to go through a few things. He also found some structural problems from the original builder and he corrected that. He really went above and beyond. He explained step by step about what he was doing, why he had to do it and why it was going to cost a little bit more. He's a wonderful young man with great integrity. We had to call him back for one thing, but it was one of his sub contractors that took longer to finally get back to us.

Description of Work: I had DG Builders/David Geresh (aka DG Fence & Deck LLC) completely rebuild my back porch and deck, enclosing the porch, rescreening, installing a electric roof fan/vent, two ceiling fans, adding ridge vents to my entire roof, installing siding, replacing all electrical, and putting in a slate floor, interior beadboard siding, vented (roof only), new screening. Project was built to be easy to enclose and add air conditioning later if I choose to, also to be low maintenance - I can literally hose off the entire porch! They enclosed the space under the porch so that I now have enclosed storage for lawn equipment, hoses, etc. Also had them cut and install a double window into a concrete block wall to convert a downstairs bedroom from a "cave" to a nice, sunny morning bedroom. Lots of surprises in the process of the project and David handled them like a pro, and fought to keep the prices down. Quality work!!! I'm in the process now of having him remove the old outside deck, and convert it into a low maintenance patio - no more sealing and replacing wood decking, and no crawl space to attract my dogs!!!!! I'd recommend David Geresh/DG Builders for any home project up to and including building a completely new home!!!
