At this point, i am in the early phase of this project. I DID want to say that Dave is the type of guy that you trust immediately. He showed up in advance of his scheduled time, and listened to what it was that I needed done, and provided me with valuable information on the project, and gave me several heads-up tips on how to do the job right. (turns out i was wrong about what i thought i needed to do). He walked around the house with me, and pointed things out that I hadn't noticed, which i appreciated, as it turned out to be things that would have haunted me later on if I had missed them. I want to get a few estimates of the project before i am able to hire, but I am comfortable that Dave's estimate will be in the same ballpark as the rest, and if so, will hire him to do the work.

David stated he would have a quote to us in a couple of days. After a text, an email and a phone call from us... 10 days later... still nothing. Just say you don't want the job! A waste of time for both sides.

The contractor said the job was completed and accepted payment. However, when we checked under the house we found it was not complete. We should have checked before paying him. We called and made an appointment with him to complete the job but he never showed. After 4 calls and 4 appointments with 4 no shows, we asked for a partial refund to have someone else finish the work. He refused to give a partial refund. He offered to come over but based on the prior 4 no shows, we felt that scheduling with him again was a waste of time.

I was extremely pleased with the process and end result of our new fence. We had a David and his team put up a reverse scallop-picket style fence on the street facing side of the fence and the three other sides are a scalloped-6-foot-privacy fence). David was very responsive with coming out to give us a quote and then scheduling the construction. We were able to schedule construction only a week after signing on the dotted line. The actual construction process took only 4 days, including fence removal on one side of the yard. His team was working through the hottest part of the summer which didn't keep them from getting everything done. I am so pleased with the final look. I would recommend them to anyone and certainly use them again for future projects.

I had a case of buyer's remorse before David of DG Builders came to my home to give me an estimate for screening in our covered patio. I had contracted with another fencing company, All Pro Outdoor Living, to install a shadowbox fence at my new home approximately 2 weeks ago. When I came home after the installation was completed and went outside to inspect the fence I was in tears. The quality of the workmanship by All Pro was horrendous. The pickets weren't evenly spaced and were of different lengths, the posts were exposed and the arching was not consistent and a couple of panels had no arches at all. It looked like they arched the top of the fence with a hacksaw. The gate was already sagging and they left all the dirt where they dug out for the posts on my lawn, some of the cement for the posts was even exposed on top of the ground. When they had called me to get the balance of money due them, I told them there is "no way" I am paying you for this horrible job. The owner did come out and look at it and offered to fix it and refund me $250 of my money back and I told him the only way I would be happy is to give me my full deposit back because this whole fence needs to be torn down and done all over. He gave me his word that he would refund my deposit, but sadly the next day he changed his mind. Fortunately, that same day David from DG Builders had come to give me the estimate for the screening of the covered patio and he even commented on the poor quality workmanship of the fence. I contracted with him several days later to install and tear down the existing fence. I can't express enough how pleased I am with the new fence that he installed. The quality of his workmanship is superb...the arches are consistent throughout as well as the pickets and the posts are hidden from view. His workers were very professional and are true craftsmen. "Thank You" David for a job well done and I would highly recommend your company. Also, he did excellent work in screening in my covered patio.

It is a pleasure to write this review for David Gerisch ? DG Builders LLC. After interviewing few companies to get an estimate for screened in porch and vinyl fence, we decided to hire David. He provided us with estimates for both projects on the spot. His price was reasonable. We have added and subtracted items along the way, and David was always open-minded to our ideas. Given that we are VERY particular about the projects and people that we work with, I can definitely recommend David and his crew. The screened in porch crew was very clean and put all of their items away each evening and even swept the concrete pad. The fence guy was another story. Nevertheless, we learned that all we had to do is call David and let him know about our expectations. He sent his employee the following day who worked until everything was cleaned up. The screened in porch turned out amazing. We opted for few receptacles, ceiling fan, recessed lighting and floodlights. David was patient with our demands throughout the process and even helped us out with putting the patio furniture. He powered washed entire area when the project was completed. Additionally he has connected our downspout to the drainage system and moved few sprinklers free of charge. He was sincere and kept us within our budget. He also added a beautiful vinyl fence to our property, which has uneven terrain. It was crucial to us not to leave any gaps on the bottom and keep it as straight as possible, given the slopes we were dealing with. Aside few hiccups along the way the project turned out great. Fence looks great and is sturdy. Most homeowners always worry about the follow up. We feel that this is not an issue with David. So far David is keeping his promises. There are few minor things that need to be corrected and David stopped by upon our return from vacation to let us know, that he will be returning to have it done. Overall David is a great guy to work with, provides quality service, materials and fair price. Should we need any projects in the future - we, will definitely call David.

Two flat tires. Price was to high. It took four days because he only sent two men. They left nails in driveway.

The roof was replaced in a single day and looks great! Laminate had a false start because the worker was unwilling to allow substandard quality in his workmanship. The result was excellent. Lights were installed quickly and efficiently, as was a large tub. David Gerish (DG) worked with us through the entire process to ensure we were happy with every step of the process and to ensure all work was done to both his and our standards. In the end, we were so pleased with his services, that we are having him paint several rooms in our house as well. Every step of the process has been a pleasure.

BECAUSE OF OTHER JOBS SCHEDULED AHEAD OF OURS, WHICH WAS UNDERSTANDABLE, WE HAD TO WAIT A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO GET THE WORK DONE. HOWEVER, IT WAS WORTH WAITING FOR! THE WORK IS EXCELLENT AND WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! THEY WORKED STEADILY ANDCOMPLETED THE JOB IN GREAT TIME!

Great work.Excellent quality. Sometimes contractor is spread to thin and work is not with in expected time frame. Quality outweighs any time delay.

It went very well. The owner, David Gerish, has a great deal of experience as a contractor and his expertise made the entire process of rehabbing a house go smoothly. The quality of work that was performed by David and his crew was excellent and I will always call his company for all future projects.

Contacted us promptly, suggested design and layout of the new porch which was no easy (the roofline had to be changed). Promised to use newest, low maintenance material. Executed the work exactly as he had promised: all workers were professionals focusing on quality, we are very satisfied with the result. David is a great guy to work with, he knows what he's doing, honest, trustworthy with a good sense of humor. The only problem is that he is super busy and can't always keep the deadlines he wants to keep, but we prefer high quality work over quick fixes.

I contacted DG Builders LLC with an email telling them about the project I wanted estimated. I got a response quickly wanting a time along with my address. I emailed them my contact information and they responded right back in agreement to come. I waited on that Thursday afternoon but no one showed up. On Friday, May 28th that morning I had an email in my inbox stating that their battery was dead and that they wouldn't be able to come. So, I wrote back and gave them my phone number to call. I don't have a way to get email 24/7, so I sent my phone number to them to have as well. I never got a call or any type response. So, I sent them another email with another contact number to call me. They emailed again with this message on Saturday June 1st, "I will give you a shout tomorrow". This is June 8th and the shout has not been made. I believe that I have given them ample time to call me. They know my address, both phone numbers and my email address. I am still in need of someone to stain my deck and do very minor repairs.

We very pleased with the results! Answered all of our questions and performed the job as expected.

When David started tearing off shingles he discovered that the plywood under the shingles was rotten, the renter did not tell us the roof was leaking. So he had to replace all the plywood. The house is over 75 years old and has not been treated well over the years. He replaced it with better product than what was on there so we should not have this problem again. This added time to the job he wasn't expecting but he completed my job which delayed him on other job starts. David did not always answer my texts in the timely fashion I would have liked but he did answer them. I would have liked to have known how much the extra work was going to cost prior to its being done but my husband okayed it without asking so I can't complain about that ( David just a hint). Over all the job went smoothly for us. He did an excellent job and I will have no problem in asking David to help us on other projects in the future.

They did a pretty good job. I was able to use the basic decking instead of more expensive materials by filling in knots and screw holes with plastic wood before they put down 3 coats of Deck Over paint. That saved quite a bit of money. David was not on the job every day to oversee the work done by his crew. His workers came fairly regularly. The completion time expanded due to my requests to add things once they got going. I became anxious for the project to be completed so I volunteered to paint in between the cracks of the deck boards and to paint the storage room door which they had not done which they should have done. A few months after completion, 2 boards became warped and needed replacing. One was on the large gate/door going under the house and one was on the steps going from the deck to the back yard. I called David twice and he said that he would come out to replace them. He never showed up. That was a disappointment. That would have cost him maybe 10 dollars in materials and one hour to complete. I had considered using him to replace my driveway. As a result of him not holding to his word about this tiny issue, I chose another company to replace my concrete driveway with beautiful clay pavers. This caused/causes me to question using him again. I want someone who absolutely will do what they say they will do and do it promptly without complaining.

Excellent service and excellent workmanship.

I've used David in the past and was a little disappointed in one of his subcontractors (it was the first time he had used them). He made it clear this time we wanted me to be 100% happy and really went above and beyond to make sure that I was. Price and quality of work were outstanding. He involved me in the process at several points to make sure I was happy with the end product, even though he's knows that I'm picky and it would be easier to just leave me out of it. I have to say that every concern was addressed and I couldn't be happier with my Pergola and the covered patio he did for me last year. I highly recommend him. David will be my first call for all my future projects.

The construction went very well. The new deck looks fantastic and appears to be very sturdy in its construction. We were surprised to see the crew working even in rainy weather. I would definitely give a hearty recommendation for DG builders to anyone in need of construction services.

David was very easy to work with, when he came for the estimate he gave us ideas for fencing that we ended up going with. The work was done in a timely fashion and was very good quality. We had one minor issue that due to a slope by our patio the gate would not open all the way, we informed David at that was quickly resolved. We would use DG again in the future - they did a great job!

Working with David was very a professional experience. The job was performed as described and as written in the contract. There were no surprises and the work was actually completed ahead of schedule. They did a quality job, with quality materials, and the skill of his crew was very evident. We are very pleased and proud of the deck. We are considering David for other projects after the success of this one, and would not hesitate to recommend him. DG Builders' pricing was in line with our other estimates. They are not the least nor the most expensive. Generally, I do not want to go with the least expensive estimate and then find out the job has been under bid. Did I mention there were no surprises?

The contractor arrived after 5 p.m. and use spare roof shingles provided by my parent and covered up the damaged area. It took him approximately 1 hour to do the temporary patch work.

Went very well from initial contact to completion. We had an eleventh hour modification and David made it happen. We are very pleased. The weather did not always cooperate - but that's South Carolina! Workers were courteous, neat, orderly, and built a solid product. We are already thinking of future projects for David and his team.

He was not be able to do the job that I wanted the provider to do. He was on time. He was very nice. He was very knowledgeable.
