It went great! As soon as David could fit us into his schedule, he got each project done in 3 days or less, and was very responsive about our requests etc.

Overall we are very pleased with our new patio and fully-fenced backyard. I'm glad we chose David to do the work since we discovered wood rot after removing the old deck. He was able to quickly repair what had been done incorrectly by the original owner and save future headaches. He didn't try and take advantage of the bill from the added work either.

The response and quote were immediate. The finished job exceeded our expectations aesthetcally and quality wise. Experienced workers knew how to complete job quickly and professionally. The finished breeze way has added value to our home. We would not hesitate to hire DGL again. We highly recommend David and his crew for any porch or decking you may need.

It looks great and everyone loves my new outdoor room. This is my paradise now. This is the second job that DG Builders has done for me and I trust David in what he has to say and he always has suggestions in case I need options. He also built my screened-in porch and a deck leading to outdoor room several years ago.

I love the work that was performed! I initially wanted a composite wood deck but after talking with David he convinced me of a stamped patio. I am so pleased withe the final product. I am extremely happy with the stamping!

David and his guys showed up when they were supposed to, were very professional and very efficient. They came and set the posts for the fence on a Wednesday afternoon, let them set and then installed the fence that Friday. The guys worked all afternoon and finished the fence in one afternoon. They had to come back the following Monday to complete the gates and install the required pool hardware. The fence is beautiful and we could not be happier. Even our pool company mentioned how beautiful the fence is. We would highly recommend David and DG Builders.

The project was a complete success! David and his crew provided an outdoor solution for us that exceeded our expectations! We interviewed several companies for this project and selected DG Builders because we felt they not only thought they could do they job, but David provided a level of comfort to us; we felt he really understood our needs. DG Builders was not the lowest quote we received... but it was a quote that we felt was doable and we were comfortable with the expectation of quality and time required to complete the work. David also brought a lot of design suggestions to the project. We had an idea of what we wanted, but he made suggestions and recommendations based on his experiences. DG Builders first removed our old deck (which was nothing more than a landing). Then they built a new deck from composite materials using various shades of browns. We're totally happy with the design and quality of construction. Next came the patio. Located at the base of the deck, it is stamped concrete solution that is taupe-ish color with dark brown accents and is a perfect complement to our deck. The patio is the exact size and shape we expected. Once the big things were done, DG Builders replaced the grass in our back yard with zoyzia, which looks great in contrast to the browns of the deck and patio. They also added several flower/plant beds for us. Some other nice touches they added was putting lattice around the deck and underside of the house to provide a cleaner look. They added some custom built gates for access so we can store some yard tools and the lawn mower. All in all, the project went great and the quality of the product exceeded our expectations. We have recommended DG Builders to our neighbors and friends.

I have no complaints at all about the quality of the work provided. David Gerisch's strengths lie in his character and his abilities to think out of the box to root out a solution to a problem and get it solved. His biggest weakness is in time management and followup. You will get a great quality job, but you will have some frustrations along the way. And no construction project goes without hiccups and surprises, so if you think it will take three weeks to finish, count on six! Bottom line, David and his subs do great work, and you will be happy with the finished product - - you may just have to beat up on him a little bit to get it! Ha! That being said, I've known David for years now, have used him on a variety of projects, and I'd do it again even with the frustrations.

David was very responsive during the estimation process and was able to schedule our porch install within a couple of weeks, which is reasonable for a busy contractor. Mike and his framing crew were very impressive. They almost overbuilt the open porch around our concrete deck and pool area. I had installed a screed porch at a previous house and it was not nearly as solid as the work DG did for us. He even took a few extra steps to go ahead and install some posts that would enable us to screen the porch in later if we desired. His vinyl contractor was very good also. Overall, David Gerish did an excellent job in working with us and selecting his subcontractors.

David called me back in a timely manner after my initial inquiry. He arrived on time for our appointment. He was very honest and seemed to know what he was doing. I would not hesitate to use his company in the future as he was very up front and honest with me. He could have talked me into new windows but he didn't!

This company impressed me. Although the price was comparable, if not slightly higher, than most fencing companies, the quality surpasses most that I've seen. They were punctual and respectful, not only to me but to my neighbors as well. We had an issue with my HOA approving the style fence I wanted and they patiently waited for approval and even worked with me when we had to change design plans. The lead builder paid very close attention to detail and worked with my existing landscape. He tried his best to make the top of the fence even all the way around and it only slopes on the bigger hills/dips in my yard. He really knows what he's doing. Other companies I've seen doing the same fence will just put the fence up without attention to the landscape and the end result is uneven top boards and an overall sloppy look. With that being said, they took about a week to do my 1/2 acre fence, which is not the fastest, but was worth the extra few days for the quality I received. If you're looking for the wrecking ball crew to come in and have a 1/2 acre fence up in 2 days then this is not the company for you. If you're looking for high quality and attention to detail then they are definitely the company for you.

The work was done in a timely matter. The contractors worked very hard in 1 1/2 weeks to get the job done. The contractors were very professional and excellent in their craft. In addition, when they were done for the day, they had everything cleaned up and stored in a nice pile. This mattered to us because we have experienced home improvement many times we have never seen such organization. We were greatly pleased with the work from beginning to end. We would highly recommend DG Bulders for you home improvement needs. Great job guys!!!!

From the very first meeting I was impressed with David's knowledge of what type of construction I wanted. He knew what I wanted, how to get it done in a timely manner, and with the utmost perfection. He would always return phone calls and usually took care of issues immediately. I would definitely refer him to a friend, and I wouldn't do if I didn't feel comfortable doing. I will use him again for any home improvements. David is a Christian, very honest and has worked hard to get where he is...self taught, and knows the value of hard work.

After living in Columbia for 28 years, I purchased a house and planned to return to my hometown area in the upstate. The task of making the new house ?my own? was daunting. However, immediately upon meeting David, I felt at ease. You immediately like and trust David. He has an easy going manner which was very calming for me as I was faced with doing major renovations both inside and outside my home. I contracted with David to install a vinyl privacy fence and remove the existing concrete patio and rotten deck and replace with new stamped concrete. An unforeseen manufacturer's defect in the fence panels could have been a total disaster. However, David did what was necessary to take the entire shipment of panels back to Charlotte and exchange for non defective panels. He worked until almost 9:00 pm in the freezing cold to load all the materials on his truck and drove to Charlotte the next morning at 6:30 am so as to have the new product back at my home in time for the installers to begin the project that morning. He assured me that everything would turn out perfectly and it did! The process had to be stressful for David and his crew, but they never let it show. They were fast and efficient and had my beautiful new fence up in no time! My new stamped concrete patio is spectacular. The gentlemen that did the concrete work were fast and efficient and the end result is beautiful. All in all, David and his crew went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I'm picky so that speaks volumes for their work. I would highly recommend DG Builders for any renovation project.

He never gave me the estimates after months of contacting him multiple times. Always was too busy, behind, etc. Finally never heard back from him. It's a good thing that I didn't use him because if this was any indication as what I would be dealing with in the future with these projects, I believe it would be a very stressful and disappointing experience. All I can think of is that he must not need the work so I am going to find someone that does.
