BRIAN'S DECORATIVE CONCRETE

This is an excellent company to build your driveway or stamped patio! Brian and his team went above and beyond - the attention to detail was fantastic. Cleaned as they went, communicated with me along the way, and above all, took extra good care of an employee who got sick on site for a rather serious long-term health issue. Brian and the rest of the crew stayed late to ensure that member was OK, and ensured he was safe/could get home quickly, then followed up the next day while the guy went to the Dr. I'd hire Brian again in a heartbeat. Price is extremely reasonable for such high quality work. He will handle all special requests like we had as well. Wife absolutely loves the patio - it looks like some kind of magazine photo in real life. Ask Brian to come see Jason's patio at CCSC and stop by to see it sometime.

My experience with them was very good. They were very professional. Brian did the work himself. He came back and made sure I was happy. He did not expect payment until afterwards. I mean, I was out of town and he even fed the dogs!

The contractor showed us an actual 2' square concrete sample already stained that we chose, so we would expected the finish to be close to the sample. The sample we chose was a light tan/brown mix. What was applied was a bright gold. We were willing to settle for their applying another coat of something different in order to try to get a closer match to what we originally picked, which they did. However, they did the walkway top, and left without finishing the sides, leaving dark drips of the redone stain to run down and dry on the unfinished sides of the walkway. I called for several weeks to leave voice mails asking when they would return to correct the problems and finish the work. I finally emailed the contractor on 3-9-11 and advised that I was preparing a formal complaint to the BBB. Within an hour, the contractor showed up onsite without notice. My wife called me to tell me once she noticed that they were onsite, and I immediately headed home to talk with them (I was only 10 minutes away). They were gone when I got there. The only work done was to apply an apparent solid finish over the walkway sides in order to hide the dark runs from the prior work. Now I have a walkway with a semi-transparent top that is not the color I wanted (not even close), and a dark solid color down the sides, which is definately not what I contracted for. I emailed the contractor later that evening, asking him to return to fix the mess. The contractor advised me that he has considered the project finished. If I would have checked their BBB rating prior to entering into a contract with them, I would not be writing this complaint, as I would not have allowed them to do my project.
