Description of Work: I was refinishing my kitchen cabinets with new doors and added molding. I wanted a glaze finish and choose Southern Coatings. John Meredith and his team can do wonders. He used pigmented lacquer with a faux-effect glaze on my cabinets (kitchen perimeter) and wainscot. The center cooktop island and table were painted with the pigmented lacquer, no glaze. Having the same glazed finish on the wainscot in the eating area (as the cabinets) beautifully completed the look. It far surpassed my expectations. The workers were prompt, courteous, and always took care to clean up. I absolutely love their work and so does everyone who has seen it. They are very busy but well worth the wait. This was by far a less expensive option than new cabinets and the colors and quality of the finish make them look like custom cabinets. |

Description of Work: Refinished kitchen cabinets with a lacquer coating giving the cabinets a hand rubbed antique finish. About 2 years later they lacquered built in book cases on either side of my fireplace and also lacquered one bathroom vanity and stained two other vanities.

+ -1 moreAll of the work that Southern Coatings has done for us has been beautiful and so professional. I would highly recomment them.
Description of Work: We had new built in bookcases built on either side of our fireplace in the den. I wanted a furniture grade lacquer finish on them. I had used Southern Coatings for two other remodeling jobs and was supremely happy with the finished results. I would (and have) recommended them to others. Their representative, John Meredith, comes to your home to give an estimate for services and he also brings many samples of finishes to show the customer. However, they can customize any job to the individual's preferences. They cover and protect the walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures, etc. and leave the work area neat and clean.

+ -1 moreAbsolutely Stellar job! We worked with John, who was wonderful and patient with us. We had never gone through the kitchen remodel process before. Our happiness is off the charts. They came to our house closed off the area to be painted. They worked for 2 days on the bases of the cabinets and took the doors and drawers back to the shop to be painted in their booth. After they were done we realized that the base cabinets hadn't had quarter round installed yet because the floor wasn't complete at that time. We contacted John about the issue and he immediately offered to send someone out to retreive the quarter round and paint it at the shop. He was so concerned that he installed all of it for us, personally. When he noticed our range hood, John also offered to come back out and paint the crown molding on the hood because it couldn't be painted with the same laquer that the rest of the cabinets were painted (Due to the caulking used by the installer on the molding) Service like this is too hard to find now-a-days! There is John and then there is everyone else....
Description of Work: We had custom cabinets painted in two different finishes. The better half was able to choose from a wide range of styles and colors. Southern Coatings can match a color found elsewhere. Our color choices were found and matched precisely We picked one color was from Behr and the other from Benjamin Moore.
