Description of Work: The only reason I'm giving them a C rating is because, they never actually did any work for us. The owner, was out of town when I fist called, so we did not get any response until he returned. He did come out and take our information, letting us know they were very busy and he'd need approx 3 weeks to get back to us. Unfortunately, it was more like 5 weeks, after 2 phone calls. They were too busy, which is ok, I just needed to know that. He did offer to move some trees for free, but we did not take him up on his offer. I feel they would have done a fine job, but were too busy to take on new clients.

Description of Work: I talked to Michael Dodson last Spring, and he came to give me an estimate for some pool deck repair/retaining wall. He did come promptly and was to email me a price at week's end, although I told him I was not in a rush to do the job. I did not receive the quote and attempted to call him with no response. In mid-July he called me and apologized. His cell phone had been lost/decommissioned and he did not have messages from the Spring, so he did not get my messages. I appreciated him calling me back after such a lengthy time. The work still needs to be done and I will likely hire him soon based on his pricing and the positive comments I have read here on Angies List.

 + 2 more...we had an unfortunate start when we hired 'friends' (Gantt brothers) and trusted them with our project & budget! The fortunate part is, they asked a supplier for a referral for the irrigation system, and were given a great referral for Michael Dodson, Imperial Landscaping. Michael and his employees did an awesome job, considering the horrible mess they found when they started working! The front yard was totally destroyed by the first contractor, using wrong equipment and poor judgment/planning. Michael agreed to return and do the grading, and his guys and equipment were totally right for the job! When we realized our first contractor lacked the knowledge & experience they said they had, & were using totally wrong products to build a retaining wall, we had to make a wise choice and fire them. We were very impressed with the initial work by Imperial Landscaping, so we called Michael and asked him to give us a bid on our entire project, including tearing out the wall the other guys had built wrong - twice... Michael gave us a very reasonable price, designed a beautiful wall and yard, provided us with sound advice on correcting problems, and was very professional in his proposals and contract. In each phase of our huge project, Michael has been right-on with planning, scheduling, suggestions, & troubleshooting all the 'surprises' that happen with any project!! He and the guys are always on top of anything that needs done! That is so important to the customer, and very much appreciated! We started this project in January, had the worst rainy season ever, and started with the worst contractor possible... Even with all that, we are thrilled with our new yard, thrilled with the work Michael has performed, & many of the neighbors are wanting Michael to do their yard makeovers!! He has already contracted jobs in the neighborhood! GREAT JOB IMPERIAL LANDSCAPING, MICHAEL DODSON & CREW!
Description of Work: . First of all: Michael Dodson, Imperial Landscaping, rescued us from the horrors of a bad contractor! * Imperial Landscaping was initially subcontracted to do our irrigation system, which consisted of 6 zones. *Michael re-designed & corrected the yard grading. Our front yard is 11,000 sq. ft, and needed complete grade changes. *Michael & his guys installed drain boxes and connected our drains/downspouts to ensure proper water flow in our yard. *Michael and his guys removed our 120' concrete driveway; grading & installing drain boxes to ensure proper water handling. *Michael provided us with a great referral for the new concrete driveway. (Concrete Supreme 864-553-4357 Jeremy) * Michael & his guys built an AMAZING 5 1/2' retention wall, with mailbox column and lighting. *Michael designed 3 large bedding areas, recommending beautiful plants, trees and designs, & the guys did an awesome job. *A 6' x 11' flagstone area is installed to lead guests to our front door! * Michael recommended hearty Zeon Zoysia for our sod. Great choice for our beautiful new yard! Super Job!!
