I was impressed with them. It was a good estimate. The decision was to add on to the house or buy a new one, and we elected to buy a new one.

Matthew Fariss was wonderful to work with.  We wanted to do most of the remodeling ourselves to save money and he was more than willing to work with us and help us to do whatever we could do on our own.  SO refreshing!  Most general contractors are trying to get as much for themselves as they can, but Matthew consistently just gave us pricing information on what we wanted him to do and never tried to persuade us from doing what we could on our own.  He even gave us loads of advice and demonstrations on how to do things on our own.
His guys were very competent and worked quickly--getting done with what Matthew told them before it was expected.  On one particular day, they were done with the job Matthew explained to them and he told them to just keep doing whatever we needed (besides what was agreed upon) until the days end!  So, we were able to have them help us with more of our own work for the same agreed upon price!
We would definitely highly recommend Matthew Fariss's Garages Plus!  We are grateful to know a general contractor who is trusthworthy!

We had them do quite a bit and they were excellent. I liked their craftsmanship, their reliability and dependability, and honesty. They are extremely knowledgeable and just did an incredible job. We're so pleased with them. There are just so many crooks out there that it's just ridiculous and this man was just very, very honest and really knew what he was doing. They're competent.

From the very beginning of our dealings with owner Matthew Farris, we had a positive experience.  Matthew helped us in the design of our garage, met with us at the site several times, made excellent suggestions on how to overcome the steep slope of our property,  was patient when we made changes to our plan and worked with us to ensure that we stayed within our budget.  Matthew promised much and delivered more.  At every turn, the work that was done and the quality of materials more than exceeded our expectations.  The quality of workmanship was superb.  His design and execution of our foundation was such that we joke that our garage will be standing long after our home slides down the mountain.  The men who work for Matthew were of the highest caliber.  Their work ethic was evidenced in the quality of their work and the pride they obviously took in the work they had done.  Matthew was always available and responded quickly if he could not answer the phone right away.  He followed through with written estimates and statements as the work progressed.  He made sure we were well informed as to the different stages of construction and when things would be done. We couldn't be more delighted in the final outcome.  Most important, he was scrupulously honest in his dealings with us.  When we have additional work done to our home, Matthew will be the builder we call.  We just wish we had known about him when we built our home ten years ago. Thank you Angie for creating a forum so other people can know about Garages Plus and Matthew Farris.
