When it comes to repairs this company is top notch, and their techs have always been honest with us.

Technician checked unit twice, said there was no problem with the unit. We were told that the problem was a leak in the ductwork . Not true, the problem was in the unit. Replacing the ductwork due to the mistake of the technician cost us $6000. Tried to contact owner because I felt that he should share in his employee's error in diagnosis. No returned call, no contact. I do not consider this to be customer friendly.

We called Band K because they had done the heating and air conditioning on our previous home. They put in a new system that worked well, but it took us 3 months to get a manual on how to use the programmable thermostat. They never told us that this new system did not have a manual. Needless to say, it took that three months to get the system to do what we wanted it to do, and involved numerous service calls. But the system was great, so we thought we'd try them again. Called, had Marty come out, and 8 months later, have never heard back. No estimate, no response, no explanation. Definitely will not use them in the future.

.I recently entered into an annual contract with Band K for cleaning and tune-up services for our two A/C and two heating units. My first service came in November -- time for cleaning and inspecting the heating units. The service person was very pleasant and professional. It had been several years since my units had been serviced, and I had not met the service person before -- and I'm just a curious fellow -- so I watched the process from end to end. She seemed very thorough and conscientious. While under the house, she/we discovered that the condensation pump was missing -- not kaput, but actually missing -- which explained the small pool of water I had noticed over the past few years. She explained the issue and replacement process to me and took care of ordering the pump. She declared everything else to be in good shape on the two heaters. She returned to install the new pump within a couple of weeks. The $400 was a combined total for the two seasonal (Winter/Spring) checkups and the replacement pump. I also think I remember that they sought customer feedback after the services were performed.

It was not good. After he put the freon in, he told me that I had a leak and he didn't repair the leak. I think I should have been told about the leak beforehand, so I could have decided what to do. Within a month, it leaked out again and I did not call them back. I called somebody else. I would say not to use them. The quality was average. I think they came out pretty quickly, even the next day.

Two guys showed up on schedule and started removing the old and installing the new. The cleaned up thoroughly. Everything went well until that night / next day when my husband and I realized we did not know how to work the controls. We called Marty and he came by and instructed us how they worked. The unit works great.
