 + -1 moreWe had Rourk Plumbing out today. He took care of all our plumbing issues. He was professional, courteous, and super knowledgeable. He's very reasonably priced. We are super happy with his work. Will use him again for all our plumbing needs.
Description of Work: 2 toilets had the guts replaced. 2 showers had leaks fixed. Had faucet handles replaced on one of the showers.

 + -1 moreDidn't use them. I'm a local business owner and this is NOT how you conduct a business.
Description of Work: I called this company last week (08/15/14) to get a quote for some remodeling we are doing on our home. No one called me back. Called this company back again on 08/21/14 and was told someone would call me back by the end of the day. Once again no one called me back. I received a call this morning (08/22/14) to call the office and she would schedule a time to come do the estimate. My question is why couldn't the receptionist have scheduled a time when I called last friday (08/15/14)? This was a big job but I won't be using them in the future nor do I want them to do the estimate after having to chase them.

 + -1 moreCompany made an appointment with me for 8/9/12 between 3 to 5 p.m. to fix a bathroom plumbing problem. They never showed or called. Tried to reach them and left numerous messages the next day (Friday), no answer or call back. Finally reached them on Monday after using a different phone. They claimed they never spoke to me or made the appointment and then said they were not taking new customers. What are they in business for?

 + -1 moreWork never happened. I broke off the discussions as they became "one way." If anyone knows what's up here, please post. Additionally, need a good plumber!
Description of Work: Wanted washer valves, toilets, and one tub drain stop replaced and slow tub drains snaked. Communication was very difficult. Several email went unresponded to. Phone calls to the business was someones house who really had no awareness of what was happening where. Mr. Rourk, the one time he did respond, appeared very good at what he does. Just can't/won't communicate to customer .

They sent different people each time. The people were professional, and they did a great job. I thought their price was fair. I was really pleased with the quality of work.
Description of Work: We live in a 112 year old house, and we were remodeling a bathroom. Rourk helped re-do the drain for the tub and toilet.

 + -1 moreThey responded to us within three hours, and went right to work. Checked the sink and drain and proceeded to climb up to our roof and use their plumbing "snake." After some time, they found that this was not reaching the clog so they used the snake through a pipe access point in our back yard. Eventually it opened and appeared to work. Later that evening, as our dishwasher was running, our sink began to fill with water again and backed up into the dishwasher. I called them the next morning and one of their men came right out and got to work on this stubborn clog. There was no extra charge for the return visit. Again, their service men (who were different than the last two) were very friendly and courteous. I believe that they were truly men of integrity. Since I am a return customer, I would have preferred to be able to mail them a check because I was at work and had to leave work to deliver the check. Other than that, I am satisfied with their work and will call them again when plumbing work is needed.
Description of Work: Our kitchen sink was stopped up and all of our attempts to open it failed. They used a "snake" and opened the drain.

Description of Work: Our guest toilet had become loose and was seeping small amounts of water. I tried to repair it myself, but when I removed the toilet, I discovered that it required professional attention. The bolts holding the toilet to the floor needed to be cut off and the ring that was supposed to be around the flange (sp?) was missing. The two-man team from Rourk called and arrived earlier than expected and went immediately to work after I explained the problem. While one plumber was busy working on the toilet, the other was providing tools and parts. No time was wasted. One part was needed, but the assistant returned within minutes with the part. While he was waiting for his assistant, the plumber was courteous and friendly as we discussed our children and families. When he had the needed part he took the time to explain how he was repairing the toilet. He was thorough in his repair and patiently answered my questions while he worked. After repairing the toilet, he cleaned up around the toilet and left instructions on how long to wait before using the toilet to allow the grout to dry.

 + -1 moreWe contacted Rourk Plumbing to see if there was anything they could do to correct a severely clogged pipe we had leading from our upstairs bathroom to the main sewer line. I called them at 10 in the morning and they were able to see me by noon. He was very punctual, and extremely helpful. Our house is over 100 years old and the clog has been there since we bought it. That combined with the piped being old had us assuming we were going to have to spend a bundle to replace the pipe entirely. The gentleman who came out told us that while yes they could certainly provide that service he could also check the clog to see if he could remove it first and he was able to have it cleaned out within the hour. He checked the strength of our pipes and told us it seemed good enough for now to not have to replace it quite yet.
Description of Work: He dug down to the level of the clog and drilled a hole in the pipe to reach it, then he drilled out the clog itself several times and flushed the entire thing to ensure it was cleared. He then resealed and reburied the pipe.
