I used the same company the previous homeowners used. About once a month, the pool serviceman will miss his "Friday" appointment, will show on Monday, then come back on Friday, thereby managing to bill me twice in one week. Spa service consists of tipping some chemicals in without even opening the cover. I've even received a note to "add more water" when the hose and spigot is less than 5 feet away from the spa. I pay $45 for pool service weekly, and $35 for spa service weekly. I hear this company is better than any other in Sumter. UPDATE: My husband and I, both in the military, had to deploy for about 1 year. I asked All About Pools & Spas to cover the pool, but continue to clean it. The owner of the company told me he would need to only come by every two weeks if the pool was covered. I had an automatic draft from my bank cut for $180 per month to pay my bill while I was gone. Imagine my surprise upon my return from deployment (I called the owner to let him know I would be back about two weeks prior to my return) to find a filthy pool and a huge outstanding bill. The pool cleaning technician continued to come to my house EVERY WEEK and didn't actually clean the pool...he would drop some chemicals in and call it good. Additionally, the prices went up soon after I left, so I was being charged over $50 a week. I called the company to cancel service. Soon after, the pool cleaning technician showed up at my house. In fact, he showed up three more times and called my phone incessantly. I finally called the owner of the company and told him to tell the technician to back off. I then asked him if he was interested to know why I cancelled service. "No." I had provided pretty consistent feedback throughout my service history, so I'm guessing he already knew why I was cranky. I've since changed companies, and wow, what a difference.
