Mr. Handyman showed up almost on time and did a fine job. Patrick was pleasant and went right to work replacing a wall switch in my master bath. But Mr. Handyman is not a suitable choice for small jobs. Although it only took about 15 minutes to replace the wall switch, the minimum charge was $168. I called Mr. Handyman when I could not find my tools. My sister, who took care of me after my stroke, re-organized my home. As a result, I can?t find anything. The job had to be done, and since I decided it would not be a good idea for me to do it due to lingering tremors in my hands and legs, I called Mr. Handyman to do it quickly, despite the price. Even though this is a positive review, it may be an embarrassment when you see the price charged for replacing a switch which I supplied. They are a competent company compared to most South Carolina contractors but outrageously overpriced for a simple job. The name Mr. Handyman is a misnomer in my opinion. You don?t think of a handyman as a corporation with numerous tradesmen.

Couldn't have been happier with the service. I called Mr. Handyman of Charleston on a very rainy day, when we developed a leak in our sliding glass door. The other handyman services I called had two week waiting lists, but Mr. Handyman was able to come out the next morning. Between the time I made the appointment and the handyman Matt arrived, our mailbox also fell over due to all the rain, so we added that to the fix-it list as well. Matt was on time and couldn't have been nicer or more professional. He completed both fixes in under three hours, and that included him having to go to Lowe's to pick up materials (and to pick up the new mailbox post I ordered online). I couldn't be happier with the work or the service, and I will use Mr. Handyman again for all our home repair needs. One thing to note. While Mr. Handyman's prices are higher than many competitors, it was worth it for me to pay for prompt and professional service. Plus, the company guarantees their work for a year, so if we have any future trouble with these items, we have a means of recourse. I'd use them again or recommend them to anyone for these reasons.

Very impressed with Rob from Mr. Handyman. He was both prompt and professional. I had every confidence that he knew what he was doing. He took the tine to go under the crawlspace to evaluate the floor where another contractor had recommended jacking up the tub. I will definately use Mr. Handyman again for my future home repair/remodel needs.

I called on a Friday morning and they came out that same morning. The technician was Matt who arrived before me and called me directly ; I was late a couple minutes and he was ready to work. He was very professional and worked extremely fast. He was able to give me an estimated time that he thought it'd take for him to cover everything, and made sure to finish within that time frame. He also gave me the exact quote before he started working, which was appreciated -- no surprises.

I ended up using Handyman Services. I think it is one of those franchises. Overall it was fine. They seemed to be very professional. It cost a little bit more than I would have liked but that is not anything to do with the professionality of the gentleman they sent over. It was for hanging pictures, so it wasn't anything too difficult, so it was fine. It was just hanging pictures so the qualiy was 'A'. They were very responcive. The price is a big factor for me and I thought it was a lot of money to hang some pictures and I thought that it took them a little bit longer than necessary.

They were great. The are extremely fast workers and got the work done quickly.

The handyman showed up on time, was courteous, respectful, competent, worked hard, and finished in a timely manner. He strapped himself up on the roof at the crest, systematically cleaned all the gutters, then washed the panels, and then cleaned up well.

Excellent service. Kevin, the lead technician was very professional and punctual. He did a great job. We'd have him do work for us again.

Originally they could not come for 4 days, but later that day got a call that he could come now. Kevin was very good, knew what to do, cut a neat hole in the wall, fixed the connection and patched the hole. Very neat. Cleaned up all the mess with a vacuum. All in one hour which I thought was very good, he did not mess around. Had all the tools and right equipment easily.

Rob was punctual, skilled, and professional. There were no surprises and he made sure I was aware of pricing, and confirmed my expectations before he began. I appreciated the prompt response from my initial inquiry.

The repairman, Izzy Venegas, was extremely professional and competent . He reviewed the damage and gave us an estimate on this project. He advised us of the materials needed and the amount of time required to complete the job. My husband and I decided to go forth with the job. Izzy immediately started the repairs while my husband went to the local store to pick up the materials needed. Izzy worked several hours on this project and was always available to answer all our questions and concerns. The job was finished on time and on the budget discussed. If Izzy is a representation of Mr Handyman's personnel, then we would highly recommend their services and will use them again in the future.

Our experience with Mr. Handyman was great from our initial phone call through the delivery of service. We were given a good estimate of the cost ahead of time, the serviceman was on time and professional, and the job was done right. Having just moved to this area, we have had several contractors working on different tasks, and generally did not experience this level of service with them. We will definitely use Mr. Handyman for future needs.

Found them online, because two other previous handymen failed to keep appointments. Izzy came on time, as agreed. Got to work right away. Came back 2nd day to finish wall once dry. Respectful and professional.

Mike was punctual, friendly, professional and easy to work with. He was hired for 4 hours of work and I was concerned that he would not be able to complete my "to do" list. However, he worked diligently wasting NO time between tasks! In fact, there was some time left and he asked if there were any other projects he could do! We were very satisfied and will hire Mr. Handyman for future projects.

The person was great. He called to let me know he was stuck in traffic and he did a great job. Also cleaned up the area under the house.

Results was totally professional and wonderful. Very pleased.

Brian called about 45 minutes before scheduled appointment time and asked if he could come early. He showed up at the agreed upon time and started working on the door He was on-site a total of 2 hours and charged me for 2 hours of time. When I initially called, I was told the job would take less than an hour. The time he charged me for included the time he took to take a couple of phone calls and search in his truck for a saw (10 minutes), remove tools from the truck and put tools back in the truck and collect payment from me. I was disappointed that what should be a relatively simple job took so long. He also indicated that he had a wet dry vac to clean the dust up from the sawing, but that he didn't want to use it because he just left a drywall job and the machine would blow dust through my home because the filter wasn't cleaned. I appreciated his awareness of this and he did try to clean up with a wet paper towel, but it still left me with a not completely cleaned work area. I would use them again for projects I can't resolve on my own, but this is definitely not a "bargain" given their speed and charging practices. He arrived at my door at 3:00 pm and was out of my driveway at 4:55 pm. I had to ask for him to honor the $25 coupon in order to get the price down from $247.

I would call them again.for any needs.

I am a very picky person when it comes to having service done in my home. Roy from Mr. Handyman showed up and was very professional in his appearance he was polite, knowledgeable and went straight to work. In 1 hour he installed my garbage disposal, fixed my sliding door, and adjusted my kitchen cabinets. I told him I will definitely be using Mr. Handyman services again. So for those of you who are looking to get quality work in your home at a fair price call Mr. Handyman.

The worker showed up and was very polite and professional. He explained what he was going to do and a cost estimate. He repaired all the items we asked for in a timely manner. We will definitely use them in the future.
