Description of Work: We have an urgent situation where an outlet plug had caught fire, burned the appliance cable and the plug itself. He told us to turn off the power and he would come as soon as possible. Half an hour later he was here and explained what a fire hazard we had. He suggested we throw out the toaster oven as it was 'fried'. Very helpful, thorough and reasonably priced. We wouldhighly recommend him and will use him when ever we have other electrical work My husband who is particular about whom we hire had a positive reaction. Thanks. Description of Work: About 6 years ago we had electric brought up to code from 1960 standard. What that meant was the old breaker box was no longer functional and the ckts had been bypassed and junctored off in the attic. This meant Misc . Electrical Svc. technicians did not have an easy time tracing the problem. Was an easy fix when they identified the problem but time intensive. They were patient and thorough and I would use them again. Good job, Mark and Brian.

Description of Work: Mike was a true professional. We had a problem in our Master Bathroom in which our lights and ceiling fan didn't work. Mike showed up and started trouble shootong the problem, and it even had him baffled. After continuous troubleshooting, he believed he found the problem, but was not 100% sure. The lights and fan were working again, but his concern was "will they continue to work." He mentioned to us "if they happen not to work again, please contact me asap", and I did. He'll be arriving at our house either this week or next to finish the Master Bathrrom job plus we have another job for him. (As a note to all, I knew he was busy and we lived without the lights or a fan for 2 weeks, so another couple of days wasn't going to make a difference). Would definitely use him in the future for electrical problems!

Description of Work: The electricity went out in our bedroom only while my husband was vacuuming. We got another electrician to come first, but he was unable to find the problem even though he charged us $450 for his time. That was a terrible experience. We had had Mr. Wood come out for a small problem about a year ago, so when we saw his good rating on Angie's List we called him. He did a very professional job finding the problem and fixing it. He also found other problems that the previous electrician had left, and fixed those. Even though it was a lot of money for us, he charges much less than other electricians, and we are completely pleased with his services.

Description of Work: We needed a power pole to run a pump in a neighborhood pond. Not only did they take care of that for us, but they advised us on what we needed to do with the electric co. and the city. Because of that everything went smooth. On time and on price.

Description of Work: I originally called Mr. Sparky but they could not get the job done for another week so I called Misc Electrical Services who was able to come the next day. Mike was very flexible as far as times available which was convenient with my work schedule. Mike wired a tricky 3 way light switch (we moved the switch from the outside of the wall to the inside of the wall). He did it all in just over an hour and charged a very reasonable rate of $90.

Description of Work: MIke was EXCELLENT!!! We recently bought a house on Seabrook Island. The inspection report had several item needing repair. He did everything on the report PLUS. He works very hard and was professional. At the last minute (Friday afternoon at 5:00) my wife ask is he could do one more job - Mike did without complaining. I high recommend Mike Wood at MIscellaneous Electrical for anyone.
