+ -1 moreVery happy, been looking for a new plumber for several years since my old plumber retired. This was a very routine job for a plumber, just reinstall a toilet which another plumber had removed, but said he could not get it level without using a large shim, said i had to get somebody to level the floor. Well i disagreed and that was it. Called Kessler, got a next day appointment with Mike who was 20 minutes early and was out the door 45 minutes later. I think I'm going to like these guys

+ -1 moreAbout 10 days ago we called them, Jimmy came the next day. We had an uneasy feeling when he came in. The master bath toilet was running, and the kitchen sink was leaking from the bottom of the sink onto the counter. He worked on it and told us to let it set for a bit. It's one of the double sided sinks and the faucet swings left and right. The faucet wouldn't budge after he left. The provider was already paid for the job. The toilet also wasn't flushing hard like it used to. I tried to get a hold of the guy but he wasn't picking up. I tried a few days later and the office put me on a three way with the boss. He is accusing me that I created the issues, not him. I asked for someone to come out to fix it. Jimmy came yesterday and was at our kitchen sink for about two hours. When I called them back yesterday after he left, I got the guy at the office that I had spoken to before. He insisted that I had messed with it and caused those problems. I asked for another person to come out again and look for it, and they said they would have to charge me to come back out again to look at it. He was very nasty over the phone.

I only found out about the leak this Saturday and I have to leave town tomorrow so it was great that Kessler could do the work today. Tyrone, the technician, was friendly, professional, thorough and on time, I appreciated the fact that he was able to come today, New Year's Eve, while others could not.

+ 0 moreVery good job. They even came back of a follow up call to reroute a pipe for me. I liked that in the laundry area they used ball valves for the water shut off instead of twist valves. The only recomendation I would give if looking at having new pipes placed in house that foam or weather stripping be placed around the pipes in the attic due to the pipes freezing.

+ -1 moreOne of his plumbers came out and sniffed around but smell was not there then. Said it might be trap in sink but never took apart to check just told me I should have them do smoke test for additional money. I got charged $108.00 for nothing. Sent email to company about it with no response. After the smell being off and on for two months and gagging me when I went in the bathroom, the smell is in the sink all the time and my bathroom smells like a sewer. Emailed them again about problem and again no response. Now I have to find another plumber to fix the problem they should have and pay them to fix it!

+ -1 moreCalled Kessler Plumbing and left a message, received a call-back within 20 minutes. John (the plumber), said he would be available around 4PM and would call ½ hour before arriving. John called about 3:30 and arrived about 20 minutes later. John removed water and soil necessary to access the main line, removed the damaged piping and replaced fittings and a length of pipe to complete the repair. He was quick, clean (a little muddy from digging) and done. Just the way things should be done, no fanfare, no excuses, just a completed job. I WOULD use again.

+ -1 moreOne of the best service experiences we’ve encountered. The service call was scheduled within 48 hours of my initial inquiry. Our technician called 30 minutes prior to his arrival. Work was done in a clean, timely and efficient manner. An extra trip back to the shop was required to obtain a new gas feed line as the one we had was missing a fitting. We were only charged a very nominal $10.00 for the line and the extra time. I was expecting a much higher fee. Nick was our technician and was as polite and professional as any one would hope for. First class company.

Description of Work: We hired Kessler Plumbing (KP) to perform rough-in plumbing work for our kitchen renovation. We have a tight crawl space, but an average-sized person can navigate it. The first plumber (P1) sent to us could not access the kitchen area crawlspace, yet we were required to pay $120 for no work completed. KP sent a second plumber (P2) to complete the work. P2 was able to “complete” the work in an additional 2 hours. Unfortunately, the work completed is TOTALLY unacceptable. He tied the kitchen sink/dishwasher drain lines directly into a 62 year old copper pipe located IN an exterior wall that hasn’t been used in over 30 years. Less than 2’ away from his “not to code” tie-in, there is a 3” VERY visible HOLE in that copper pipe! In just 3 days that gaping hole would have been covered with drywall, new cabinets, and new flooring and totally gushing greywater all over them. When we called GK to express our dismay at this lack of concern about doing a job properly, GK said he was "sorry about that," but he was NOT liable for this gross mistake. And no matter how much damage this WOULD have caused, his company would NOT have been held responsible because “he didn’t touch” this pipe. That is a semantic that doesn’t cut it. We contest that he DID INDEED touch this pipe with full intention when he was willing/his idea to make it become part of HIS design/solution to drain the sink/dishwasher. Also, upon further inspection of the work that KP’s plumber performed under the house, it was discovered that as soon as the PVC sink drain line was severed from the location stabilized by the kitchen flooring, the now capped PVC line was left “dangling” under the floor. Apparently, the drain work done over 30 years ago relied on the rigidity of the flooring to hold subsequent washing machine piping in place. What happened is that upon capping off the sink drain line, 3’ further, the washing machine drain line snapped out of place leaving it to drain all of that greywater directly underneath the house! What I am saying is that this lack of attention to detail could have had catastrophic consequences. Kessler Plumbing is refusing to accept any culpability for this situation. Gregg Kessler said he would refund the first $120 we paid for when no work was performed, but he was not going to refund any of the unacceptable work performed by P2. For a business that touts "Quality Work" in its tagline, this is Unacceptable.
