Fresh Coat Painters

The first thing you will notice is that Jimmy and the Fresh Coat team will arrive on time. In our case they were early and sat in the driveway waiting for the appointed time. Jimmy walked through the job with, Olden, the team leader explaining what was to be accomplished. The team the immediately started working. All of the exterior paint and the concrete was power washed to remove any oxidized paint, dirt, and whatever else had accumulated over the years. Next the concrete was acid washed, rinsed, and left to dry with the assistance of some fans. While the concrete dried the team did divide and conquer to get the areas that were to be painted done Olden, the most experienced team member and team lead focused on the entry way door, the trim, and the front shutters. When the paint was complete and the concrete dried 2 coats of stain were applied to the cleaned concrete. They worked hard until 11:30 broke for an hourish lunch and then completed everything by mid-afternoon. It all looks great. Jimmy and the Fresh Coat team will be returning in April to paint 2 interior bedrooms & closets and the front bathroom. I can't wait to see this finished. The results will be amazing. They did an outstanding job. I would use them again and I have already recommended them to friends and family.

Things went fine. I liked the idea of removing the drywall mud over the screws and replacing it. They used a hairdryer to dry it and everything. It was a great idea. I do think I can see evidence of where the nails are that I didn't see before, though. Not sure if I just never noticed that, or if the sanding was a little weak and the spots are visible where they weren't before. Well overall either way they did a good job. It is obvious that Jimmy the owner is concerned about the customer service his customers receive.

A+++! We put our rental home on the market for sale and boy did it need a lot of work. We had moved out of the area years ago and needed a local painter who we could trust. Jimmy came through in spades. We ended up having the ENTIRE interior of the home repainted...including the baseboards, wall paper removal, and the garage. The tenants left the home in less than desirable condition. Jimmy and his crew returned it to its once beautiful condition. The home inspector who saw the before and after results was impressed and said he couldn't recognize the place. This was a huge project and under a tight timeline. He worked with us as other projects were completed (carpet installation, etc). He even came in and accomplished some minor touch ups a few weeks after completion just prior to listing. The result: the first family to view the home put in an offer and accepted!! Two thumbs way up for Jimmy and Fresh Coat of Charleston!

As new homeowners who have recently relocated to Summerville we contracted with Mr. Zeski and his crew to perform painting and minor interior wall repairs to the entire house. We are very impressed with Mr. Zeski and the crew. He was very good at all communications and kept us very informed of the process and work schedule. We are very satisfied with the completed project. . We found the price to be a little more than we expected but it was very much in line with other highly reputable companies locally. WOW! What a terrific job. Jimmy provided us with a very detailed estimate for each and every room, closets, bathroom etc....in our two bedroom Townhome. This is a rental property, so we wanted to get a fresh coat of paint after a tenant moved out. We originally thought we wanted everything from the ceilings down, but after his review of the property, it was determined the ceilings were in good shape, thus saving us some $$ from the start. We were then able to choose just exactly what we wanted to have painted according to his estimate. One of the more detailed estimates we've seen. Definitely a sign of a good professional. His crew did one fantastic job, left he place clean, and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely use his services again. Thanks for a great job.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and had been painting non-stop. When it came to doing the ceilings and upstairs hallway, we had to find a professional painter. I went to Angies's List and received 3 bids. The lowest was Fresh Coat of Charleston. The owner, Jimmy Zeski was polite and responded quickly to my request. He set up an appointment to come to my home and measure the area. He was prompt and polite. Jimmy gave me time to look over the proposal and I accepted. He set up a date and time to do the work and called to let me know that his crew would be there at 8 AM. He informed me of his foreman's name and they arrived promptly at 8. They covered the furniture, light fixtures, and floors. They worked in a timely manner. They were friendly and polite. I am very pleased with the final result and would recommend this business to anyone.

Yes very professional, however in order to get my job done Jimmy told me to cancel with Angie's List and pay him directly, due to get my job more in line with price CLOSE to what I paid. I may of been clueless on what 8 hrs gets me but his quote was @ $850. When I expected it could be done for coupon price for $360.00. I thought 2 painters could get it done in 4 hours or 1 painter in 8 hours. He wanted to use 2 coats of grey paint of SW paint on top of white and light blue? I got him to do one coat which got the cost down to $575. Including 2 gallons paint. It took about 10 days and a phone conversation with Angie's List to get my money back. To my surprise it ended up taking 2 painters 6 hours but they did an excellent job. I won't use them again because I think the painters were too slow and price too high. Nor will I use Angie's List due to what the painter had me do,

Wallpaper was carefully and completely removed and walls were prepped to paint. I had them come back and do the painting as well, which turned out very nicely. I would not hesitate to use this business again in the future.

Jimmy and his crew of three were great. Jimmy explained everything his guys were going to do. They moved furniture and covered everything else with tarps and plastic. They completed the job in 5 hours with a short lunch break. They took down all the covers and moved all the furniture back to its original position (with some help from me). All in all it was a very professional and quality job. I will definitely use Jimmy to paint our new house which is currently being built.

Response for quote was quick and time from quote to paint was a reasonable turnaround. Job was completed in an afternoon and results were fantastic. Can't wait for the next project.

The actual painting results with Fresh Coat are fine, but the communication is very tough to deal with. It's evident the painters don't have much contact with the person who makes the sale, and so my requests where either not done, not done properly or just completely ignored. For instance, I wanted the staircase painted. The contractor (Jimmy) specified in the invoice that the stairway would be painted. That, to me, means everything included in the stairway. To Jimmy, that just means the walls. But the stairs were the one part of the house that needed the most attention, and they were just ignored. So it shows a lack of caring, and overall inability to see what's best for the client in the long run. These guys just want to get paid and do the least amount of work possible, and it shows, which is disappointing.

We could not be more pleased. The expansive crack in the ceiling peak in kitchen had been repaired in the past by other painters but we continued to have the separating problem. Jimmy's painters feel with the materials they used, as opposed to what had been used in the past, our problem may be solved. Because our home has 12 ft. ceilings & open floor plan, they flow from kitchen/breakfast area into the family room and front entry. We were afraid the whole ceiling would have to be repainted but they were able to match the paint perfectly! Jimmy Zeski's crew of five started at 8:00 a.m... and did not leave until after 5:00 p.m. After instructions from Jimmy on what needed to be done, they began work immediately, taking only 1/2 hour for lunch. Jimmy returned several times to check on their progress. His crew was all very friendly, professional and hardworking and they were very kind to our two little dogs that were confused and spooked by the whole process! The clean-up was thorough and they insisted on returning rugs and furniture back to where they had been rather than leaving that for us to do. It was a nice experience and we would definitely use him for any of our future painting needs! He is highly recommended!

Jimmy Zeski of Fresh Coat Painters of Charleston responded to a request for a quote within 24 hours. He offered great advice, and clearly knew what he was doing. His hardworking crew, headed by Edwin, was able to begin work a week earlier than anticipated, and they finished in 4 days, rather than 5. Their painting was meticulous and looks fantastic. They put 3 coats of white on the previously off-white woodwork, which really made the trim stand out. The elevated living room ceiling needed some repair, which was included in the estimate, but they then painted the entire ceiling. They moved heavy furniture carefully, and cleanup was spotless. I cannot say enough about the quality and timeliness of the work, the professionalism of the crew, and Jimmy's knowledge and experience. I have no reservations recommending Fresh Coat painters for any interior or exterior painting job.

First, Jimmy Zeski, the Owner of Fresh Coat of Charleston, arrived on time for our estimate. The original estimate exceeded the budget we had allotted. We eliminated 2 rooms and received a second quote from Fresh Coat which was competitive and fit right into our budget. Jimmy was the most professionally dressed estimator, very cordial, made good eye contact, wanted to understand every nuance of what my wife and I wanted. He measured everything, made notes where appropriate and in the end provided a quote that met our expectations. Nothing beats a good first impression. To say the least Jimmy made a great first impression an impression that won Fresh Coat the work over 3 other competitive bids. On the day painting started Jimmy arrived, on-time, with his 4 man team, introduced the Fresh Coat painters, took another walk through to make sure everything we had discussed would be addressed. When the Fresh Coat crew started working it was clear who the team leader was. However, there was very little in the way of conversation. These were professional, nose to the grind-stone painters who already knew and understood their role and proceeded to go about getting the work done. While prep work on the walls was being done (patching holes and repairing corners) so were the door frames and doors. As one task was completed the team members moved seamlessly to another task. It was amazing to watch the work proceed. In the end our tired home interior had an incredible fresh new look. My wife wanted our fireplace to stop looking so one dimensional. It has a lot of detail but it was all painted white. My wife, a designer, created a plan to transform the fireplace from plain to focal point. Oldin took that plan and crafted a focal point masterpiece. His 19 years of experience and that of the entire team showcase the Fresh Coat motto of "Painting Done Right". When I was younger I did all this work myself (my dad was a general contractor. I learned to paint at a young age). It is time to hang up the brushes and leave it to the professionals. I will continue to call Fresh Coat for all our painting needs and I highly recommend them for your painting needs.

The repair was great, but the initial coat of pain was not a good match. They came back out and tried again. They were able to match the ceiling paint and cover the repaired areas without the need to paint the entire vaulted ceiling. It looks great!

I just can't say enough praise for Jimmy Zeski's painting crew! They were professional, cared about their quality of work and were respectful and hardworking. They were punctual and extremely courteous the entire 5 days it took to paint everything. I had a couple of places that the drywall needed repair and I swear if I showed you the area - you would not be able to see where the problem was. Jimmy Zeski runs a very professional operation and his foreman and crew are all attentive and responsive. This was a large job with lots of detail yet they do not take shortcuts and made sure that we were satisfied with the quality of their work at each stage of the project. I am already planing on using them for another painting project and highly recommend them.

I was very pleased with my service from Jimmy and his crew. They were extremely professional--always on time and courteous. They were very careful about working in my house--cleaning up at the end of the day. Jimmy checked in with the crew daily to see how they were progressing. The crew head was very easy to work with and very responsive to my requests. I appreciate what a great job they did covering up surfaces of the floor and furniture so there were no drips on them.

His team cleaned up all of their supplies, etc upon completion. The rooms look great. The result of the power-washing was amazing; what a difference, all the black on the concrete was removed. On another note, the power-washing was the morning following the interior painting; I brought to Jimmy's attention on area on the ceiling that could use another coat. Within one-hour one of his team members arrived and remedied the issue. If you want to hire a company that is professional, responsive, and stands by their work; then Fresh Coat is your first choice! I would definitely use Fresh Coat again.
