water heater repair
+ -1 moredrop off. We had been dropping off to low, until we got that fixed. (A recommendation) Make sure that you get a EccoTemp unit with automatic re-start chips. We had to have these chips installed in our EccoTemp system which took about 2 months but we did recover. I would grade the product & the company Overall a B; The Price is an A; the Quality of the product was initially a C but now that it's fixed, it's an A; on Responsiveness, it would be C (but I would think that the re-start chips would have already been installed in the unit); I would give them a D in Punctuality (because it fell below customer's expectation on delivery); & grade them as B on professionalism. This product is subject to energy savings rebates so we recouped a $300 rebate from the energy company which really made our price $800 for everything.
Description of Work: Ecco temp is a unit which replaces the water tank system. They are a manufacturer not an installer. However when you work with them & buy the product, they coordinate the installation. The installer de-install our original tank system, took it out of the house & dispose of it. He then installed the new EccoTemp tank less system and connected it to cold water, hot water, natural gas & electrical. On the installation portion, the installer guy I would give straight A's in every category. On the EccoTemp device itself, just beware that you have adequate gas pressure or else the low gas volume will drop off line. The line has to be shorter than 40 ft from Eccotemp to the gas meter. We didn't know about the 40 foot rule & our system dropped off line a few times but that has now been rectified with a natural gas booster to increase the pressure of the volume through the EccoTemp system.
