 + 0 moreI'm not used to working with any contractor as professional & thorough as this owner! If he was running late, he'd call me. He let me know what time he would start & finish each day. before he started, he even asked me if anyone in the household had any health concerns, which I do. As he was worked, and the work wasn't to his liking, he never hesitated to fix it. I recall, one time, he asked me how the outside paint looked and I said fine. Well, that wasn't to his liking, so he redid it to his liking. I came to the opinion that he was tougher on himself than i was on the inspections. When he arrived on-site, he had everything he needed for that day's work.
Description of Work: Demo master bath to framing & floor joist system; remove termite damaged wood within the confines of the tub/commode section of the master bathroom suite; re-frame where necessary, supply & install drywall; remove popcorn from ceiling; supply & install shower enclosure; supply & install Grab bar; supply & install new commode; supply & install approximately 35 sq ft of bamboo flooring; supply & install ventilation fan;supply & install baseboard; supply & install crown molding; re-trim window; prime all drywall & apply two coats of finish paint; re-finish bathroom door & closet door w/polyurethane (off-site work). Powder-room: replace & install sink, faucet, cabinet & counter-top; prime all drywall & apply two coats of finish paint. Outside of home for 2nd story: replace any rotten wood & paint whole 2nd story.

 + -1 moreThe windows on my 150 year old house required extensive repair. Because of the extensive experience that this firm has in working with the rules and regulations that govern the repair and proper restoration of historic buildings this job was performed flawlessly. After signing the contract, my wife and I did not have to become involved with any of this project in any way. The work was completed ahead of schedule and every aspect of the repair (permitting, craftsmanship, and lead abatement) were handled professionally and completely. I have lived in Charleston for 25 years and could not recommend a restoration firm in this area more highly. The windows are beautiful and again look as good as when originally installed.
