We had Charleston Air Care install a Trane Heating and Air conditioning system. Justin Dunn gave us the estimate and answered all our questions. Jamall and Birdie did the installation, they were very courteous and polite. They answered all our questions and did a great job. We will recommend Charleston Air Care to our friends.

Fine. Person who answered the phone on a Saturday AM was clear and thorough. Appointment offered for 2pm Sunday; the tech, Justin, called me at 10am to tell me he'd be arriving shortly. The problem was pretty easy to diagnose and fix (blocked condensate drain line shut down system). Service call took barely an hour. Justin communicated well, and getting our AC back on line for any price was worth it. There was a non-refundable service call charge, which was reasonable, and the total for the visit was a little more than I expected. But no complaints... considering it was a weekend semi-emergency visit. I would use them again for preventive maintenance or service or equipment replacement.

A 15-year-old unit in our split system HVAC was giving up the ghost. We got some bids for a replacement. Carolina Air came in much less expensive than the competition for Trane equipment. Their rep offered us 4 replacement options at different performance and price levels. Once we agreed on one package, they scheduled the work for the following week. On the installation day, Chris and Tony showed up on time and went right to work. They did everything in one visit. They were polite, professional, neat, hard-working and unintrusive. When they were done, they hauled away the old system and all the packaging and left us having to do no cleanup. They also registered the equipment with Trane for our 1 year manufacturer's warranty. In addition, they gave me the paperwork for getting a rebate from SCE&G. A few days later, Dave from Carolina Air did a quality control inspection of the new system. He was polite, genial, quiet and extremely thorough. When finished, he answered all our questions. I recommend the company.

Michael, the salesperson, knows his stuff and explains every option in replacing my HVAC unit. Even offered first year maintenance. The crew was amazing. They did a great job and respected my home. It's the management you have to watch out for.... when they say you're "first call" starting at 8am, don't expect them to show up until 11:30. Both the salesman and then the crew did such. When I called the secretary at 10am to express disappointment and to say I've been waiting two hours, she LAUGHED AT ME. And when the contract says "First year maintenance free," IT'S A LIE. They require TWO maintenance checks with THEIR company to keep the warranty, and they only cover the first (you don't learn this until AFTER installation when they hand you a postcard offering one maintenance trip IF you rate them on 3 social media sites)! I left a message for "Larry" to call me to discuss this before I submit my rating. He never did. Be careful using this place!!

It went very well. I got 5 estimates and this company had the most cost effective, all inclusive estimate. The work was done efficiently and I'm very happy with my new system.

I contacted Charleston Air Care for a second opinion and quote to replace a leaking condenser coil, after getting a quotation from another local company. The technician showed up on time, was courteous, and knowledgeable. He agreed with the assessment of our system, and that it needed partial replacement, but looked up the unit's warranty information for us and determined it was a warrantable replacement from the manufacturer. He recommended contacting the original unit installer to pursue warranty work, but provided a quote just in case. There was no charge for the visit. I was highly impressed by this honesty and professionalism, and will be happy to use Charleston Air Care in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with Charleston Air Care! They responded quickly and their representative and service personnel were polite and professional. My heat went out pretty late on Friday afternoon, so I started to call around Charleston Air Care called within 5 minutes, and scheduled an estimate for early the next day. I was unable to find any other company willing to come to my heatless house with three kids with temps in the 20s, to give me an estimate any earlier then Tuesday, and I spoke with three others before giving up. When I accepted their estimate they were out early the next day with a team to install my new unit, and had it installed with the heat on in my house within five hours. I would absolutely recommend this company to others.
