Rental unit system not blowing cold air. Called Carolina Air Care & they came the next day. They arrived early, found problem quickly, replaced capacitor, & added refrigerant. Finished job in less than 1 hr.

They've helped us out a couple of times. They put the heat pump in about 3 years ago and we have them come back and do any repairs that need to be done.

Arrived in less than an hour on a Friday, short notice. Very professional, added Freon to the system at a very reasonable price. Verified that the heat worked, checked the gauges and was overall an outstanding call. Tenants were happy and so were we :)

The process was excellent. David came and sat down and gave estimate and went over everything. On the date selected for installation, the installers were prompt snd efficient. Very good job in a tough tight confined space. Follow up soon after was thorough. Highly recommend this company.

David was excellent salesman, friendly, polite and on time. Technicians came on time, very professional great customer service from every one. I came across in this company when complete, was very clean. They came back 5 days later to check make sure system was working properly.

They arrived on time and immeditally knew the problem.They gave me a very competive price signed a contract and had an installation date the very next day.Which was great because the weather dropped by 30 degrees the day after they were done.There installers arrived right on time were very nice and polite.They started at 9-am and were done just after noon.Cleaned up any mess they made explianed all the features of the new unit,and to say i can feel and see the differance this new unit has made is best said a major improvement.I have another appt. for an inspection by one of there quality control inspectors to follow up on the work that was preformed to make sure i am completely happy and all work was up to there standards,which i assure is A+.I would tell anyone to call this company if they have heating and ac problems!!---------John J Dementri

Quick response and quick determination and fixing of problem.

The installation was timely and efficient with the installers completing the job in 4 hours. The only recommendation for improvement I have is that installers watch the cigarette butts they leave in the yard. The followup quality control check by the company was impressive and gives one a confidence in the purchase. I look forward to recommending the company to others.

I received 5 bids for this job as my 20 year old system was struggling but not failing yet. All estimates from other companies were for Trane/American Standard systems approximately $1500 dollars higher than Carolina Air. Additionally, Carolina Air was the only bidder who offered 2 years of labor rather than 1 year by the others in the warranty. (All system parts, regardless of installer or make seem to be 10 years warranty.) The workers arrived a little later than expected on the date agreed to but were finished in under five hours. All debris was removed and the workers were polite and informative. The company visited 2 days later to verify that everything was properly installed and we were satisfied. We are very satisfied with the installation, operation and the price of the work done. I would suggest that in the future, installers pad corners of air handlers broaught in and out of the house as walls can be dinged by them. I was recommended to this company by a friend who's church used them for work and they said they were satisfied. I would recommend this company to others.

The service call was free and they charged me $250 for the parts. They came within an hour of me making the call. The man who came was really experienced and personable. He was very communicative and informative as well. His coworkers were very professional and friendly.

control boards and thermostat tested OK after unit dried out, and restarted....HVAC technician got the heat back on for a $40 service charge, and no parts!

Our heating system went out on a Sunday- When I called, the receptionist took down details and David came out within a couple of hours. He gave us options for replacement and on Monday a new system was installed. The guys who installed the unit were friendly and easy to work with. After they finished the installation, they cleaned the ducts. Before leaving, they cleaned up any debris that the cleaning had caused. A few days later David came out to inspect the work that had been done and to make sure we were happy with the system. I was pleased with the overall service and would definitely use Carolina Air Care again.

The 2 technicians Michael & David arrived on time, introduced themselves, explained the job, went right to work installing, cleaned up everything and left after 4 hours of work, all done.

Our HVAC stopped bowing air on Friday, but still produced heat, so it was not an emergency. I called Carolina Air on Monday at about 9am and talked to Becky who said she could get someone to our house at about 1230 and quoted a an estimate of $477. She called me back in 30 minutes to tell me she could get a crew here at 1030! I have never had a company say "we'll be early." Brian and Chris spent 4 hours replacing the needed parts, checked to make sure it was working and charged the quoted price. I would recommend them and yes, use them again.

Great! They arrived on time. Were friendly and professional. They made the repairs and asked if I wanted to see what they had done. I paid them and they left. I was pleased with their service and will use them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I called this company to have a guy come and give an estimate on having a moisture barrier put down for our rental home. I originally made the first appointment on Aug 1, 2012. When the technician did not show on Aug 1, 2012 at the predetermined time, I called the company back. Apparently they had forgotten to schedule me. I figured I would give them a second chance and scheduled another appointment for Aug 9, 2012 @ 10:00. I called the company @ 9:55 am and was informed he should be on his way. I waited until 10:15 am, called the company back and found out the technician had called the company and said he would not be able to make it because he was on a commercial job. Each time I made appointments I had to clear it with the renters. I also drove out to the rental house and waited each time wasiting my time. When I explained this to the company, they informed that maybe I should use a different company. Very poor customer service. I will never use this company nor do I recommend anyone else use this company.

We had a pleasant experience overall. **Price: Reasonable. I believe the normal price for a regular tune-up for each handler is approximately $79, which I consider to be higher than I would want to pay, especially if the cost is the same for multiple air handlers. However, I found a coupon for $59/unit, which made Carolina Air Care competitively-priced compared to others. **Turnaround time: The primary initial reason I utilized Carolina Air Care is because they were able to schedule a tune-up appointment three days after my call, during the busy summer season. Other companies I contacted would not schedule a tune-up appointment until after the "busy summer season." **Technicians: Professional. One of the technicians called to inform me that they would arrive approximately 30-45 minutes late, which was appreciated. The "work performed" section of the receipt was detailed, and a recommendation was made to improve the air flow of one of our handlers.

This was Friday (just before the weather turned really hot), The new unit would be delivered on the following Tues. New Trane delivered and installed, working ok when the technicians left. The next day it had stopped working. A part in the unit outside had actually burned. Looked like lightning strike, but no storms during that time and no other issues with electricity in my house nor neighborhood. They replaced the entire unit 2 days later at no additional charge and since the weather had turned extremely hot, they provided and installed a brand new window ac to use until the new one was installed. Outstanding service by extremely professional, friendly and competent staff.

Due to an electrical storm, our A/C unit stopped functioning. I called Carolina Air at approximately 10:00 pm on a Saturday night. Even though I did not have a service contract, they agreed to come out that night and repair my unit. Two technicians came out and repaired my unit. I was very happy with not only the outcome of their visit, but by the fact that they were willing and able to help me with such short notice.

ABOUT NINE IN THE EVENING WE NOTICED THAT THE HOUSE WAS GETTING WARMER AND THEN WE REALIZED THAT THE A/C WAS NOT WORKING. THE FIRST THING I DID WAS TO GET ON ANGIE'S LIST AND FIND SOMEONE THAT WOULD MAKE A SERVICE CALL ON A SAT NIGHT. I WENT TO THE FIRST ONE ON THE LIST, CAROLINA AIR CARE, AND CALLED THEM. WITHIN NINETY MINUTES THEY HAD DAVID AT OUR HOUSE AND WITHIN TWELVE MINUTES AFTER ARRIVING DAVID HAD THE UNIT UP AND RUNNING. ANOTHER BIG PLUS FOR ANGIE'S LIST. JIMMY BRIGUGLIO, CHARLESTON,SC

We have used this company twice. For the first time, our air conditioner was making a strange noise, and this company came out and fixed it promptly. It was a fan motor problem. We were very impressed. The first repair occurred in October 2011. When the same a/c started cutting off and failing to work properly, we called them back. My husband met with a technician who told him that the compressor was going out. We were looking at a $2,500 compressor repair or a $4,400 new unit, according to the tech. They charged us $40 for the service call and told us that we could get the work done now or wait until the compressor completely died. I called another company today, and they found that the problem was in the attic. The overflow pan was filling up due to a leak and setting off a shut-off switch to turn the unit off before the pan overflowed. The total charge today amounted to $332 (would have been $140 but hubby did not want to empty the overflow pan himself). When Carolina Air Care's tech came out, he didn't even check the attic. I am very disappointed with CAC. They had done such a great job the first time that I thought I had found a company I could trust. They have a lot of great reviews, too. Maybe I just got a tech on a bad day.
