Our ductwork under the house in the crawlspace hadn't been replaced since right after Hugo, so it was definitely time. I looked on Angie's List for people who did this type of work and found Carolina Air Care. Wasn't sure if they would be interested in the job, because they are based in Summerville and I lived on James Island. Not only did they take the job, but they were quick, professional, and left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived! It was a pleasure to work with them. If you need ductwork replaced, don't even bother scouting around. Call Carolina Air Care!

The technician was professional and did his job for the day. I can only hope that the technician felt that the electrical part that had a low reading on it, was not replaced at the time because he felt as I do; if it is not broke, leave it alone and do not fix it. However, I am about preventive maintenance also, this is why I called them, to check the A/C unit out to prevent it from malfunctioning when needed the most, and I did state when I called the company and to the technician that the blower/air handler was not coming on, it was an intermittent problem. I will call them back as of todays date 9/2/2013, for my air handler-fan blower began to come off and on when it wanted, and it went completely out as of yesterday 9/1/2013. I believe that the electrical part that had a low reading on it may be the cause, but will see what the damage is now. I just want it to be known, I called them for preventive maintenance, and did discuss with the technician that the original call was due to the blower-air handler was choosing to come on when it wanted to.

Had an old carrier system that was costing me a ridiculous amount of money, not only to run but also to fix. Did some shopping around and couldn't find a more competitive and eager for your business company. They priced matched a competitor and was able to deliver/install on my schedule. Via phone I dealt with Allison, who was a very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Gave me a courtesy call to ensure the date was good prior to the Mike and Dave showing up. The whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish. $4300 was what I payed for the central air system, but the service I got was worth a million.

Chris and Daniel were just fantastic;)!!! They did a great job in explaining what had happened and gave me a heads up on possible future problems!! They were very professional and super knowledgeable!!! I have used them in the past and was very satisfied then also;)

Dave Condra, the Service Manager was out at my house within an hour and half of my call. He diagnosed the problem within a few minutes. He told me he had the part at his shop. ( FYI Another popular company was at my house earlier that day and said they would have to order the part and it would take weeks and cost 780.00. They suggested I just get a whole new system. ...and wanted to have their other team come out to quote me the cost for a new system. I needed a second opinion for sure) Dave ran back to the shop and was back at my house in a half hour like he said he would. He replaced the part quickly and efficiently. My AC WAS WORKING!!!! AMEN! It's been a year since Dave was here and my AC has been working fabulous!!! You can bet my next call when my AC unit needs help will be to Dave Condra at Carolina Air!

The install went great! 3 guys came out in the morning to replace my AC system. they were very polite, introduced themselves and got right to work. The install took about 3 hours. when they were finished they completely cleaned up after themselves and left my house a little cleaner than when they arrived!! a few days later Andy came back to check the whole system and made a few adjustments. overall i had a fantastic experience. even the ladies that helped with the appointment scheduling were super nice and very responsive. i highly recommend this company.

I called Carolina Air Care after my tenant called me stating that her AC would not turn on. They were prompt and flexible with meeting the tenant on her schedule. The problem was solved the next day and cost me about $140. I forget the details right now, but at the time I was happy with the cost of the repair. Would use them again, but hopefully I won't have to.

Arrived early, worked hard all day, system works great, first time Ive ever had a follow up Q.A. first by any company. Very professional and David is great.

He explained what he was doing and why. He also gave me recommendations about the unit. He also reported my unit was going out of stock due to the age of the unit and left a detained estimate of two units for me to choose form and to call ans adk additional questionas if I needed to. He never appeared rushed although I was the third or fourth customer that day and it was morning. Good service and Great customer service skills!

They were excellent. They were prompt. They were a $1000 under all other quotes. Their work was excellent. They also were clean. It's been working great ever since.

I am a property manager for a local company and these guys are Great! They are very responsive - they get to the property the same day I call them, they make the repairs, and my tenants all have had nothing but nice things to say about them! Their prices are very reasonable and they are wonderful at explaining what they found and what they did! Definitely my number one choice from now on!

Although we had to wait a few days for my unit to come in, after that, they removed the old unit and put the new unit in that same day They also cleaned up afterwards and hauled away the old unit.

Randy gave the estimate for the new system. He was very couteous and did not try to "upsell" me. He arrived on time, completed the work in about 4 hours, and cleaned up afterwards. He also installed an air intake register at no extra charge. So far, the system works as promised.

They were pretty good. They were very nice but it took them a little while to email me what they said they were going to do. They did provide the written quote in person. They were knowledgeable and knew their stuff. They were very punctual in getting to the house but it took a while to get what I needed from email.

They did some work for me, I was pleased with what they did there. I can't complain about them. They were better than expected. They had no problems coming out on a Sunday. No additional charge for that. They suggested I have the unit just re-charged instead of repaired because under the circumstances they didn't take advantage of my circumstances. I was going to move the home, it's a mobile home, I was going to move it, now next summer. And they suggested not repairing it now, just recharging it and it will last until then. And then after the move we could deal with it, replacing the unit. They could have pushed for a sale or fix but they knew that wasn't the wisest thing to do. Honesty.

David was the service person that performed the work. He did an excellent job and is extremely professional. He was on time and was sure to call me when he was on the way. I chose Carolina Air to do this work because they had recently been out to repair my air conditioner. Both experiences were excellent! I highly recommend this company. Make sure to ask for David!

They did a great job. The wife was actually looking on Angie's List for them and they had a good rating. We knew they were close by in the Summerville area.

Andy showed up on time as promised. I explained that we had moved into the area within the last 11 months and needed to have my A/C unit looked at for peace of mind. I had a couple of company's come out from the Home Warranty Company months prior and did not trust them. Andy checked out my system. The only thing that appeared to be wrong was that it low on on Freon, which was added. I asked about a service contract that Andy provided information on. Completely satisfied with the service provided. Would highly recommend them to others.

The company that I called to come out and do the work was great. The technician himself was a little rude and smoked around our kids and the job as well. Other than that, everything else was fine. It was just those two things. That was average time for the work that was done. His whole attitude kind of ruined it. They did get right out here. I would probably use them again as long as they do not send out that technician.

Carolina Air was chosen out of five companies we had contacted to provide quotes in replacing an AC condenser/coil from the 1970's. The salesman that came out to the house was prompt and professional. The exact work was detailed after inspecting the current situation. Many choices were provided which would fit the job. The salesman also broke down the SCE&G levels of rebate as well as federal rebate for the new systems. The work was done during a peak season and the team arrived a little off schedule, but after speaking to the office the team would alert us once they were on their way which was done. Work was to be done during one night; however, with the amount of total work needed to occur and the age of the system I had suspected it would go beyond the time and it did. The team was skilled and professional the entire time on site. Items that needed extra care were fixed correct and completely. After the first night all material was cleaned up and a schedule was hashed out for the next morning. Work was completed the next day about mid-afternoon and the system was up and running during one of the hottest weeks in June of 2013. The crawlspace was cleaned up, the workspace inside the house was cleaned up and the system was sealed so it would be as closed as possible. The follow up QC appointment went on time and reviewed the installation as agreed. I would use this company again if there ever needs to be a time; however, as their work was done right and complete I doubt that will be required.

Having just moved into our second home, I wanted to establish a trustworthy maintenance program for our HVAC system. I chose to use Angie's List, and was most pleased with Carolina Air Care and their technician Chris Bailey. He arrived before the scheduled appointment, and appeared thorough and complete. He was not only professional, but personable, and my first impression is that I made the correct choice in Carolina Air Care. I want personable, reliable service, and feel that this has been a perfect decision for us in spite of the fact that we are new to the area. I look forward to a long and lasting professional relationship with Carolina Air Care and Chris Bailey. I was also very pleased with service I received in scheduling the appointment on the phone. The girls were pleasant and very easy to talk with. Excellent choice.

They responded to my first call immediately and got a service person out to check the problem the same day. The service person, Chris, called me back from the location, explained the situation and offered 2 solutions. He was very courteous and helped me work through the options and then sent me a detailed printed quote that afternoon. In the meantime, I got a second bid and the quote for the same repair with comparable equipment was substantially higher. After deciding what I wanted to do, I called the office and booked the replacement. They arrived on time and completed the work as scheduled. I will definitely use them again.

Our 16 year old HVAC units seemed to be struggling over the past few months keeping up with heating and cooling demands of our home so we knew it was time to upgrade and replace the old system. Over the past three years we have had a few service calls to just keep the systems running but we never felt like they were efficient. Carolina Air Care salesmen David met with us on May 2, 2013 to give us a quote to replace our old, failing systems which were the original builder's grade. David did a good job explaining exactly what work would need to be done and gave us several options without overwhelming us when it came to final decision. We knew we wanted at least a 15 SEER rating and were debating between Rheem & Trane eventually settling on the Rheem Prestige brand primarily due to the many positive reviews we read and the price point was more reasonable. The following Monday a crew arrived at our home around 10am to install the two systems (A/C & air handlers), repair some duct work, and clean all the ducts on both levels which had never been done before. All the men were efficient, professional, courteous and kept us updated with their progress throughout the day. By 6pm they had all the work completed, cleaned-up their work areas and made sure we knew how to use the new thermostats before leaving. Although we have only experienced these new HVAC units for one week now and we are pleased with both Carolina Air Care and the Rheem systems. We are currently waiting for the Carolina Air Care Comfort Specialist to give a final inspection of the units and that all the duct work is adequate. Prior to selecting Carolina Air Care we obtained five quotes from other local companies with good reputations as well. There was such a huge variation between price but the specifications, features, sizes and SEER ratings were almost identical. Our driving factors for choosing Carolina Air Care is that they offered the best warranty, great price, professionalism and very good Angie's List reviews.
