First late last summer my air conditioner shopped cooling as it should. I called Carolina Air Care and they sent a technician out who checked the system for refrigerant leaks and told me there was a leak at one of the service valves which he said he fixed. He added some refrigerant and said everything was OK. It did cool OK the rest of the summer which was only a short period of time. When I turned the cooling on this spring I found that it did not cool and appeared to have the same problem it had last year. I called Carolina Air Care and they sent out a technician who eventually found that there was a slow leak in the cooling coil which meant the coil would have to be replaced. They determined the coil was covered by warranty and did get me a new coil from the factory. They put the new coil in and charged me over $600 for labor to install the coil which took less than 2 hours to install. My complaint is that it appears to me that the leak in the cooling coil is what was wrong when they came out last year and they did not find the leak but made up the story about the leak at the service valve. In my opinion the amount they charged me was excessive for what they did both last year and this year. I have a Degree in Air Conditioning Engineering Technology and I designed air conditioning systems for many years so I familiar with what they did and approximately what the cost should have been.

Everything went great. They were prompt, fair and stayed on task from beginning to end. So far the air is doing great. The price was reasonable and fair.

Paul and Deamond arrived at my home on time, to the minute! I immediately felt comfortable having them into my home without my husband there. They gave me an approximation of how long it would take and whether or not they would be inside or out most of the time. This was for the dog's sake. They replaced the unit. No muss no fuss. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves when they finished. At the very end, they took my husband around, (he had arrived home by then), and showed him everything, like how to use the thermostat. We are both very satisfied with the a/c unit and the installation.

Although I didn't like the fact of paying for a new Hvac unit,they offered the best price by a long shot compared to the competition. These guys were very professional and efficient. I had others smaller guys who tried to offser similar or lower prices but couldn't deliver on the service end as far as warranty and quality of workmanship. I received a great price for the what was included in the package relative to the workmanship and quality of unit installed. These guys are the best hands down when it comes to the total package---price,service,peace of mind,ease of access etc. I appreciate what this company does by not trying to overcharge and inflate the prices while still delivering on quality of service. These guys know how to deliver true value to the customer by keeping services affordable and customers happy and cool! Definitely satisfied!!

This is a late review for the work Carolina Air Care did for my house two months ago. My old A/C was broken. They gave me the best price and they were able to replace it for me right away. It was tricky to install the new modern unit to my house because the space reserved was very limited. But they were able to figure it out and got it installed correctly. The new system has been running perfectly for two months and I am happy with it. I would definitely use Carolina Air Care again next time when I need a new A/C unit. I will also recommend them to my friends. Good job, Carolina Air Care!

We wanted to replace our old A/C and switch our heat pump to a gas furnace. We went through Costco and their local vender. Our house was sized for a 2.5 ton ac and 75k btu furnace for just under $6000.00. After the install It did not seem to be cooling properly. I checked the model numbers and they had installed a 1.5 ton ac and 45k btu furnace. I called Costco and their vender to get their stuff out of my house and refund my money. They did. I called Carolina Air to come do the job right. And they did. They worked with me in the coordination of the removal of the Costco hardware and installation of their hardware. The bonus was I got a15 seer vs a 13 seer Lenox which qualifies for a rebate check and I saved over $2000.00. Carolina Air has THE best prices in the Low Country.

The installers Paul and Devon were prompt, courteous, and professional. Paul reviewed the scope of work in depth before starting, gave me a filled out form for the SCE&G Rebate, and went over the new digital thermostat in detail after the installation.

Team arrived on time, were very courteous and efficient. Replaced the downstairs heat pump and blower/coil unit. They cleaned up afterwards.

They arrived as stated performed a great job. All workers and staff were courteous and professional.they kept me well informed as the job went on. Work was completed in approx 6 hours. A quality check was performed days later and some freon added. System is working well and is quite as they Indicated it would be.

My family has been doing business with Carolina Air Care since 2011. They are the only company I have found that will come anytime of day or night to get the job done for you and not charge you an arm and a leg to do it. Last summer when my AC went out in the middle of July they came out at 11:00 at night to fix it. My children and I were elated as it was extremely hot and uncomfortable in our home. I've never had a problem with appointments being canceled or people not showing up. I regularly refer people to this company. On March 4th (80 degree day) I came home and found the AC not working. The fan would not "kick" on and it was 77 degrees upstairs and 75 downstairs. My family was looking at buying a new unit in May to replace the 10 year old builder installed unit that we had been "babying" for the last four years. We decided to just buy a new unit now instead of May and get it over with. David came out Thursday morning (March 5th) within an hour after I called. He took a look at the current system we had and then sat down with us to pick out a new unit. He didn't try to "sell" us on something we didn't need. He asked questions about our wants, needs and usage habits. He then took the time to compare units to get us the price we wanted and the best SCE&G rebate available. The "crew" was supposed to be at our house between 9:30 and 10;00 the next day ( March 6th); they were there at 9;00. It was cold and rainy that day and it was supposed to be below freezing that night. We were desperately wanting everything done so we could have heat before the freeze. The crew worked diligently at installing the unit and fine tuning everything. They also made every effort to not track in dirt and mud from the soggy ground they were working in outside. They installed a new pad and leveled with sand, removed all debris, and made sure all of our questions were answered. We are very happy with the new Lennox unit and very happy with the service we received. The price was very competitive with other quotes we received. The big thing for me is that they came to my home and installed a unit within two days. They were on time, courteous, and accommodating. I will continue to use them for any service I may need and refer them to others. Carolina Air Care is overall a great company to do business with and I would recommend them to anyone that asked.

Installation went smooth and they cleaned up afterwards. The installers did show up late that morning, explaining that they had to replace a power tool that broke down, but without notification to us of any delay. They did however stay late to complete the job only leaving around 9 pm. The job was a bit more complex as the condensers were moved to a different location requiring extension of refrigeration lines and power cables. Overall it worked out well and we are pleased with the work performed. Units have worked well for almost a year now.
