Blue Palmetto Home Inspection

Great, except I had to pay for a separate roof inspection because he didn't get on my roof during his. That is a very important part of the home inspection.

Everything was done professionally. Ray was on time, he was very through. He had a complete report ready within 10 hours for us to review. It was very in depth and covered everything we needed.

Ray is very nice and knowledgeable. Did an absolute thorough job. Inspection report was well done and impressive.

Ray was fantastic! He worked with OUR schedule, not "when he could fit us in" and made sure we had everything completed and back well before the inspection deadline. Ray spoke to me on the phone several times about services and about what he could and could not do and when my husband met Ray at the home being inspected, Ray allowed my husband to go under the house and in the attic and pointed out every single possible issue he could fine. He made recommendations for how to increase ventilation in the crawlspace and pointed out where some of the crawlspace insulation was installed incorrectly so that it could be fixed before causing a problem. Ray checked the AC and the Heat System, and even checked the plumbing pipes for correctness and leaks, etc., discovering where one was actually installed wrong (an easy fix but good to know about). Due to the drastic rains we have had in this area there was also starting to have a bit of mold growth that Ray was able to point out under the house and even gave us suggestions on how to stop it now before damage occurred and how to prevent it in the future with better ventilation and a better vapor barrier. And the Report was AWESONE!!! The report was so professional and FAST! It was 67 pages long and complete with tons of photographs, a "hit" summary at the beginning, then followed by the detailed look at everything section-by-section with a grading scale of good, acceptable, and poor for our knowledge. Overall I found this to be an outstanding report, outstanding personal service, and a very thorough inspection- not to mention almost $200 LESS than his competitor!!! We would absolutely use Blue Palmetto, Ray Thornburg AGAIN and WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to EVERYONE!
