I have used Lee Hoff at Ashley River Services, Inc for several years. He has been very responsive and competent. However, now he has his daughter running his business and she came out to do my annual backflow valve testing and she and some other female fumbled around with my backflow valve, attempting to perform the service on it by reading instructions one line at a time from a book and together they could not get the job done. I went ahead and paid by check on-the-spot.?I called them later that day because I could see the valve was still turned off and weatherized and I needed to water my lawn. His daughter told me that the valve supposedly failed the inspection and that she would have to get her dad to come back to fix it and complete the testing. I have been calling the registered business phone number for weeks now and getting no response. The company voicemail has the daughter's voice and greeting recorded but I needed Lee Hoff to come out to complete the work (according to his daughter). I finally got her to call me back and she got very testy with me and hung up on me. I went ahead and contacted the bank and had a stop payment placed on the check and notified her by text that I was hiring someone else and I also emailed them at two registered email addresses listed on their website that I no longer needed their services and that I had spoken with Charleston Water System regarding the fact that they are recommending this company as an authorized backflow prevention valve tester but they seem to be employing unqualified technicians. They said they are "looking into the situation." I personally do not recommend this company from what I witnessed. This is a DHEC requirement and if they do not know what they are doing they could be putting people's health safety in jeopardy.

They are great. They cleaned up the water and the fixed everything. They always answer their phone, and if they don't they get back to you immediately, they are punctual, and they come in a timely fashion when there is an emergency.

How did it go? Lee replaced the pump and was in and out in less than 30 m,inutes. He also recommended that we insulate the pipe next Fall to help keep the pipe from cracking.
