Ashbusters Chimney Service

Professional, spotless, and friendly service. The gentleman really knew his job and explained fully what was found. He offered suggestions for needed repairs but I did not feel pressured.

I have called the office 4 times and asked about a recommendation of ventless fireplace. The office sometimes takes messages or sometimes they give me Chris' cell phone. It is October 17th now, and I wouldn't use them. Very unprofessional, I have no trust in this business.

Did the work as requested and did everything in a timely manner.

Cris came over in a timely manner. Was very professional and did a thorough cleaning. He used a camera to inspect the smoke stack for any fire hazards. I was very impressed with his srevice.

Inspector arrived early, which was great. He covered open area to chimney with plastic and also flooring in front of fireplace for protection. He cleaned chimney and let us know there was no issues. He gave us information that was also emailed to us with information on the inspection that was performed. Total inspection was under around an hour from the time he arrived to the time he left. I would contact them if I needed any repair.

The serviceman showed up on time both times, did his job, cleaned up after himself and explained what he found with photos of the damage on our chimney. We also have a crack in the back wall of our chimney which we opted not to repair at this time as we have other projects going on. We couldn't ask for any better service. We were very pleased with the job. We were offered two options to repair the ring at the base of the chimney and opted for the stainless steel which is a little more expensive but lasts a longer time. It has to be custom made. I believe the wait time was maybe a week or two. The serviceman explained everything very clearly. He worked very quickly and cleaned up everything afterwards. My husband and I would definitely use this company again.

The cleaning part is very good and well worth the money. However, be cautious about their inspection that almost invariably will find fault with the flu. They are selling products for repair, so just like a financial planner who sells funds, there is an inherent conflict of interest. That doesn't mean it is necessarily bad, but i think you have to be alert and verify with other perspectives. Obviously you want to be safe, but I suspect they, intentional or unintentionally, leverage this to sell the chimney products they offer.

This company was recommended by our condo management office for units with chimneys, and just happened to notice Ash Busters $99 deal a few week after. They responded to my purchase by email to ask me to contact them by phone to schedule the appointment. They were flexible with scheduling, esp since it's before the fall demand which can be booked a month out. The technician, Chris, was very professional and courteous. He contacted me by phone the day of the appointment to let me know he could come earlier, which worked out great. He put down a tarp and even removed the dry stacked wood we had in the fireplace (putting it all back when he finished). He explained the process and answered all of my questions thoroughly. It took just under an hour and was interesting to see the images of the camera, going the length of the chimney interior. The high powered vacuum did trigger the circuit breaker once, but it was towards the end of the cleaning and was reset fine. I definitely plan on telling my management office and neighbors about my positive experience with Ash Busters.

Bought coupon for $99 chimney cleaning on Angie's List. Waited about three weeks before scheduling the service. Only thing that did not go smoothly was the service number was in a later time zone and when I called at 9am local I got an answering machine message saying I had called not within regular business hours. but they called me back when they opened.

It was an all day job. Repointing the brick on the outside chimney was very messy as he had to sand out the decaying cement before he was able to repoint. Be sure all the windows and garage doors are closed. After he was finished with that, he vacuumed the dust up and you couldn't tell that anything had been done. He then did the flue repair, repaired the crown seal and waterproofed the entire exterior of the chimney. The last thing was to replace two bricks in the firebox. He worked all day and did a great job. I would certainly recommend this company. They were very professional.

Their prices were very good (they were the ones who recommended I join Angie's List!), they were most punctual, accommodating, and did perform additional work for us beyond the Angie's List chimney cleaning.

They showed up when they were supposed to and everything was great at first. They have dropped the ball recently. They did not follow up with me with the work they completed at my rental property. I have had to call them 5 or 6 times to get this. After my 3rd phone call they asked for my home address to send a hard copy, but I never received it. Almost 4 weeks later I have finally received the information I asked for.

He did a fine job, no problem whatsoever. They set it up as soon as I called and they were ready to go. There were no additional charges on top of the $99 of the big deal. He told us that there were some repairs needed for the chimney but we did not have them done at that time. He was very neat and clean. He was careful not to disturb anything in the house, and covered everything so no dust came into the house from the chimney. I would say that he did a fine job. The price of the big deal was quite reasonable. The quote that he gave us for the chimney work was high, but we didn't have it done.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. There were no additional charges. They did what they were supposed to do.

Gentleman arrived early and ready to get to work. He was very professional and kind as he went about inspecting the chimney with a snake camera and other equipment. After inspecting the chimney he did a thorough cleaning. The house is 3 stories tall. While he could not get to the top outside he was able to do all the cleaning from inside without any mess or cleanup. The whole process was quick and efficient. I would highly recommend this company again and again. I am already telling my friends about Ashbusters! Thanks Angie's Listers!
