Ashbusters Chimney Service

They were punctual, professional and speedy! It could not have gone more smoothly. I would use them again without hesitation and will recommend them to anyone!

All went very well. The workers closed off the inside firebox to avoid first getting into the house. Repairs were made to the inside of the chimney as well as sealing around the roof line.

We bought the house a year ago and we suspected that the chimney had not been maintained properly over its 12 year life. Our concerns were justified, as there was a great deal of soot build up in the chimney that could have caused a house fire ( we live in a log cabin ) if we had not addressed it. Ashbusters cleaned the chimney and found a crack that we will hire them to repair before winter comes. This will prevent any cinders from escaping the chimney that would become a fire risk. The rep from Ashbusters was professional and efficient, informative and prompt. We got a great deal thru angieslist for the cleaning and inspection, and we plan to hire them to do the minor chimney maintenances and repairs that will extend its life and protect our home from risk of fire.

It went very well. They took special care to try not to mess up my yard with the large trucks. They cleaned up very well. The only thing that went wrong was the one of the trucks ran over the edge of the driveway and cracked it up. It would have been nice if they had offered to fix it but they didn't. Overall I was pleased though.

Wonderful. He was very thorough, prepared with vacuum cleaner and drop cloths. I didn't have to do anything. He answered all my questions and was informative. On-time and courteous. Finished in a timely manner and left everything clean.

Very Professional. On time and polite. He came in with video camera so he could see up the Chimney to see where it was dirty or if anything was damage. He covered our floors to ensure no dirt particles would be left behind. He took the time to explain to me how to use my fireplace and went over safety concerns when buring a fire. He even went on the roof to confirm the flute was in good condition and made recommendations for down the road. He took several minutes explaining the safety measures in buring in our fireplace as well as went over opening and closing the damper. I would highly recommend Ashbusters and would never use my fireplace without it being throughly checked by them. He also took pictures with his camera and has sent them to my email address for my records- That was a added bonus... Especially if one is thinking about selling your home. Though one can get a Home Inspection- The Home Inspection doesnt validate that your Chimney is safe. Money very well spent- Plus having the Peace of mind knowing that my Chimney is safe to use..

Very responsive and punctual for providing quote. Had problems ordering the insert and installation was postponed for a number of weeks. Did a good job with service recovery. Installation went as planned and installers were very professional. Currently having problems with auto fan switching on. Plan to call to have it repaired.

Man from Ashbusters came to clean and inspect the chimney in ur new house. He sent a camera up the chimney and took pictures. Told me it was unsafe to use and that we needed about $3500 in repairs using their patented materials. We asked the he email us the photos he took. He never did. We called and asked for the photos to be emailed, they never were. We called the corporate office and asked that the photos be emailed, again, they never were. Recently we called a local company to give us a second opinion on our chimney. They told us it was fine and we could put a fire in it right away. The new company quoted us about $400 for some moisture issues but said it was nothing urgent and could wait until spring. We're so glad to be using our fireplace and thrilled not to have wasted $3500.

I purchased Angie's deal for a fireplace gas service call however when I called they said the deal was sent by mistake. They don't service gas fireplaces. They also said Angie's List was to contact me to provide me a refund. That never happened and I had to initiate the call and fill out a form. It seems that I should not have to do that if this was a mistake by Angie's list. Angie's list should have initiated the refund. Very inefficient use of time.

John Perdue is a really honest technician. He knows what he is doing and doesn't overcharge to do it. I had two other companies come out before Ashbusters, neither of which actually cleaned my chimney, and didn't tell me that my mantle was a firehazard, that my chimney wasn't sealed at the top, and didn't scope the chimney to show me the condition (which wasn't fantastic). John did all of this and for a great price. He was prompt, thorough, and explained everything to me and showed me the interior photographs.

They had previously done the chimney sweep. It took them a day to complete the job. There weren't any unexpected issues.

The provider was pucntuall and professional during the entire process. We will continue to use them in the future and would recommend them to our friends and family.

Showed up on time and very professional....both for the initial cleaning and for the follow up service work to repair the crack. I hardly even noticed he was hear and now our fireplace which had a draft that would blow into the house is working perfectly....just in time for those cold weather fires. Very easy to schedule and work with. Would recommend again!
