Had a Living Social deal for serviceman to inspect chimney. Bought the house in May, a few months prior, and wanted to make sure chimney was working perfectly before I used it. He came precisely when he said he would come. Inspected chimney, inside with camera, and outside. Told me exactly what I would need to get chimney in working order. Didn't have all the work done that he mentioned, only because of my financial situation. I felt he was very honest and told me not to use chimney unless I had all work performed. Fire hazard. So once I am in a better financial situation, then i will definitely call him back to finish service. Will not use chimney until then.

The serviceman was on=time and very professional. He spent time to answer some of my questions and he was very polite. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly, but thoroughly, he worked. I had a few questions around the use of the fireplace and he was happy to answer them. I will be using the service again next winter.

Ashbusters is great. I decided to use them based on the Angie's List rating. I called and the girl on the phone was very friendly while I set up an appointment. The day before the appointment she called back to verify that they were still coming out & to make sure it was still a good time for me. John was very efficient with cleaning the chimney and inspecting it based on the issues I was having. He was patient & attentive while I explained the problems. He inspected all aspects of the chimney and took pictures. After his inspection was done, he went through each aspect with me and explained them in layman terms along with showing me the pictures he took. He than provided a quote of the things that needed work and because I had told him that I couldn't afford to fix everything at once, he was kind enough to break down the quote into relevant sections. He cleaned my chimney (yay, no more smell), did the inspection and explained all the things to fix all within about an hour. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of chimney services & will use them for my repairs.

Everything went very smoothly. They were very prompt, courteous and professional. They took care to cover the fireplace and leave everything clean in the house. They did take a photo of our chimney cap which showed that it was very rusted. We have scheduled them to come back and replace the chimney cap with stainless steel next week.

Technician was friendly and knowledgeable. The arrival time was scheduled to be within one hour, with a 30min call-ahead, which was very convenient. I just bought this house, and he clearly explained to me the condition of the fireplace and chimney, as well as what needed to be done for maintenance and a variety of options for using it. Didn't leave a mess. Many other places charge ~$200 for a level 2 inspection. I bought the $99 Angie's Big Deal for a level 1, and they only charged me an extra $50 to kick it up to a level 2.

Overall thorough and detailed inspection. John did an excellent job explaining the situation and presenting potential solutions for our necessary repairs.

I had John from Ashbusters come out to perform a sweep. I also knew that I needed a chimney cap. The first time he came and performed the inspection and swept the chimney. He also gave me a written estimate of things that he would recommend. I ended up putting in a new back wall in one fire box and had him install the new chimney cap. He came back a week after the initial visit with the custom sized chimney cap and back firewall. Overall he was a pleasure to deal with and have already recommended him to some of my clients.

I felt like I received excellent service and honest information. I was impressed and would call them if I needed any repairs done.

The technician arrived on time. He was professional and efficient. He was careful to put down tarps on the floor in front of the fireplace, where he set up his equipment. He inspected the chimney, using a video camera and also looked in the attic. With the video, I could see how the chimney looked before and after cleaning. It was practically spotless after cleaning. The ashes were swept away and everything was put back into place after the technician was finished.

Expert professional service. Arrived when he said he would and completed a thorough inspection.

Excellent experience. Very punctual. Also did cleaning services very neatly and left the area so clean!!! Very polite and knowledgeable. We were very happy and are going to use them to come back to replace the chimney chase cover.
